Many in my hometown, even among those who are of the "House of the LORD," have piously quoted the following scripture to me in an effort to justify their unjust behavior towards me:
Psalms 37:25 (NIV)
I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.
But, because things aren't always as they appear on the outer cup, especially when we don't have all the evidence, the Bible instructs us as follows:
1 Corinthians 4:5 (NIV)
Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God.
For indeed, is it not as sheep among wolves relying on the hospitality of others that Jesus sends forth His disciples, both prophets and apostles alike? How man judges is altogether opposed to God's purpose.
The real question is: Are you fulfilling your call righteously, or is there vinegar (arrogance, begrudgedness) in your water (service)?
Just do the part you were called to do, according to His righteous instructions, and leave the rest to God. His judgement is Righteous. For again, "He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart."
My job, as a messenger, is to speak to you all that is given me to say. I'm doing my job, but where are my wages? "The worker deserves their wages." For how is it that a claim can be submitted against one's wages?
There is vast difference between forsaken by God and forsaken by man. You see, God has all the evidence, from the end to the beginning. He already knows:
Micah 2:9 (NLT)
You have evicted women from their pleasant homes and forever stripped their children of all that God would give them.
Who cast out whom, and why?
Isaiah 66:5 (KJV)
Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name’s sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.
Therefore, my rebuttal has long been set before the JUDGE.
