Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus' name based on this verse.
Luke 9:24 states: "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it." (ESV)
Please pray that the landlord will give his life to our Lord Jesus, so that he will not lose it.

Lord Jesus we believe that you reign over the darkness, and your light expels all darkness and all unclean spirits from those affected by it.
Lord Jesus, we declare victory over this rented apartment situation, and we ask for your healing power to guide the former landlord on his life's journey.
We believe everyone will see your Greatness and Power.
No one can withstand Your mighty power. We ask your mercy and grace.
We thank you for your love and faithfulness.
Amen

Please also pray that he can hear God's voice concerning His holy plan for his life

We join with you in praying for your former landlord and we agree with you concerning the power of Luke 9:24 which says For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it. Luke 9:24. This is the heart of the gospel, that salvation is found only when a person surrenders his whole life to Jesus Christ, turning from living for self and trusting wholly in Him.

We are encouraged by your faith to declare that Jesus reigns over all darkness, for He has said I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life. John 8:12. There is no darkness and no unclean spirit that can stand before His mighty power, and we rejoice that you are asking for mercy and grace for this man rather than holding bitterness concerning the rented apartment situation. That is the love of Christ at work in you.

We also pray that he will come to hear the voice of the Shepherd, for Jesus said My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. John 10:27. Our desire is that the former landlord would not only hear but follow, and that God would reveal His holy plan for his life, for we know the promise For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11.

We pray together now in the name of Jesus.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we lift up this former landlord to You. Lord, we ask that You draw him by Your Holy Spirit to surrender his life to Jesus. Open his eyes to see that whoever seeks to save his life apart from You will lose it, but whoever loses his life for Jesus will save it. Grant him repentance and faith, that if he will confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in his heart that You raised Him from the dead, he will be saved. Romans 10:9. We know there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12, and we plead that name over him now.

Lord Jesus, reign over every area of darkness in his life and expel it by Your light. Heal any wounds or hardness in his heart and guide him on his life's journey into Your truth. Give him ears to hear Your voice concerning Your holy plan for his life, and give him a willing heart to obey. We declare victory over this former rented apartment situation, and we ask that You bring peace and closure where there has been strife, and that You would be glorified so that everyone involved will see Your greatness and power. Let Your mercy and grace lead him to eternal life. We thank You for Your love and faithfulness that never fails.

We thank You Father that You are not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9. Continue to give the one who prayed this request a heart of intercession and love for others, even for those who have had authority over them in earthly matters. We trust You to work all things together for good for those who love You. Romans 8:28. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

Thank you for sharing this burden for your former landlord. We can hear your sincere desire that he would come to know Jesus and experience real life in Him, and that he would be able to discern God's direction for his future. That is a loving thing to bring to prayer, especially when there has been history around a rental situation that may have been stressful.

We are joining you in asking God to work in his heart in ways only He can. Salvation is ultimately God's gracious work, and we can trust Him to draw near and make Himself known as we keep praying. If you still have any contact, continuing to reflect Christ's character in a quiet, consistent way can be a gentle witness without pressure.

We also pray with you that God would make His leading clear to him as he considers next steps for his life, and that he would be open to seeking God through His Word and in prayer.

Father, we lift this landlord to You. Have mercy on him and draw him to Jesus, that he may know forgiveness and new life. Open his ears to hear You and give him a hunger to seek Your will. Work in this situation for Your good purposes and give our friend peace as he entrusts this man to You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer for your former landlord has been laid before the Lord and we join you in it with earnest desire for his soul. The word you have brought, Luke 9 verse 24, stands firm and searching, for whoever would save his life shall lose it, but whoever loses his life for the sake of Christ shall save it. There is no other way of saving the life. Salvation must be of God from first to last, Divine in the beginning, Divine in the carrying on and Divine in the concluding.

We pray that the Lord who has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son will do the same for this man. Darkness is the element of the prince of darkness and its power is to hide and to blind, but the light of Christ expels all darkness. May the Lord scatter that darkness from his mind, and let him see his true need as a sinner, that he may also see the truth of a real atonement and receive a real pardon through the blood of Jesus. For no salvation will serve his turn but that which is found in Christ alone, in His active obedience and in His passive obedience upon the cross, in His rising from the tomb and His reign in glory.

We join you in asking that he may hear the voice of God concerning His holy plan for his life. The voice of the Lord is powerful and full of majesty, and yet to the believer it comes as a still small voice that says, Come up here, and bids the soul trust itself with Christ and go and sin no more. May Divine Grace constrain this man to listen, not to despise the voice that speaks from heaven, but to heed it and live. As we are all tenants at the will of God, holding all that we have from moment to moment by His mercy, may he be led to consider his lease, to prepare to meet his God, and to obey the inward monitor while yet there is time.

We pray also that the word may come for him as it came for those ready to go down to the pit, Deliver him from going down to the pit, for I have found a ransom. The Lord has not only invented the way of deliverance but has found the ransom in His own Son, a gift of Divine love. May that ransom be made effectual for him, that he may be saved from himself, from sin and from the adversary, with an eternal deliverance.

O Lord Jesus, reign over all darkness and let Your light shine into this heart. Grant to this former landlord repentance and faith, that he may lose his life for Your sake and so save it. Open his ear to hear Your voice, and guide him in the path You have ordained. We ask for mercy and grace, trusting Your love and faithfulness, and we plead this in Your name alone, through whom alone we are saved. Amen.
