Former landlord

Kensem

Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus' name based on this verse.
Luke 9:24 states: "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it." (ESV)
Please pray that the landlord will give his life to our Lord Jesus, so that he will not lose it.

Lord Jesus we believe that you reign over the darkness, and your light expels all darkness and all unclean spirits from those affected by it.
Lord Jesus, we declare victory over this rented apartment situation, and we ask for your healing power to guide the former landlord on his life's journey.
We believe everyone will see your Greatness and Power.
No one can withstand Your mighty power. We ask your mercy and grace.
We thank you for your love and faithfulness.
Amen

Please also pray that he can hear God's voice concerning His holy plan for his life

We join you in praying for your former landlord and we thank you for bringing this burden before the Lord in the name of Jesus.

You have chosen a powerful verse to stand upon, Luke 9:24 says For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it. This is the heart of the gospel, that surrender to Jesus is not loss but eternal gain. We agree with you in asking that this man would come to that place of surrender, that he would lose his life for Christ so that he may truly save it and have eternal life.

We also pray as you have asked that he will hear God's voice and discern His holy plan for his life. Jesus said in John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. We pray that the noise of this world and any spiritual darkness would be quieted so that he can hear the Shepherd's voice clearly and follow Him. God has a good plan for each life, for Jeremiah 29:11 says For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. We pray he would seek the Lord and find that hope.

We agree with your declaration that Jesus reigns over all darkness and that His light expels it. John 1:5 says The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness hasn’t overcome it. And 1 John 1:5 tells us that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. We pray that this light would shine into your former landlord's heart and into every lingering effect of that rented apartment situation. We ask for the Lord's mercy and grace to guide him, to bring conviction where it is needed, healing where there has been hurt, and repentance that leads to salvation. We pray that he would confess with his mouth and believe in his heart, for Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

We also remember the promise in 2 Peter 3:9 that the Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient with us, not wishing that anyone should perish, but that all should come to repentance. It is the Lord's desire that none would be lost, and we claim that patient love for your former landlord today.

Let us pray together.

Father in heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we lift up this former landlord to You. We ask that You would draw him to Yourself, open his eyes to see his need for a Savior, and soften his heart to receive the gospel. Help him to understand what it means to lose his life for Jesus so that he may save it for eternity. Let Your Holy Spirit convict him of sin and reveal the greatness and power of Your Son who died and rose again for him. Expel all darkness and every unclean influence, and let Your light fill his heart and mind. Give him ears to hear Your voice, to know Your holy will and to walk in the plan You have for him. We declare victory in Jesus' name over all strife related to that former rental situation, and we ask for Your peace to reign over all involved. We thank You for Your love, faithfulness, mercy and grace. May this man come to know You as Lord and Savior and may all who see his life be pointed to Your glory. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Your care for your former landlord stood out to us, wanting not just resolution over the apartment but his eternal good. That kind of intercession matters to God and reflects His heart for people to know Him.

We join you in asking the Lord to draw this man to Himself, to soften his heart and help him hear God's leading clearly for his life. We also pray for you to have peace as you leave the rental situation in God's hands, trusting Him to work in both of your lives in His timing.

A simple next step that often helps is to keep a brief, steady prayer for him, not out of pressure but out of love, asking God to provide opportunities for him to encounter Christ through His people and His truth, and to give you wisdom for any further contact you may have.

Father, we lift this former landlord to You and ask for Your mercy over him. Draw him to Jesus, open his ears to Your voice and Your plan for his life, and bring healing and peace where it is needed. Work in this whole situation for Your glory and guide both hearts toward You. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

We join with you in bringing this former landlord before the throne of grace, and we count it a right and needful thing to pray as you have asked upon Luke 9:24, For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it.

There is a Truth in God's salvation which operates most powerfully upon the mind, and proves itself to be real. If we have laid hold of that Truth we believe in a real Fall, and knowing ourselves to be real transgressors we see our need of a real Atonement. That Atonement is found only in Christ Jesus, who is not merely the Worker of salvation but the Salvation itself. Simeon said, Mine eyes have seen thy Salvation, that is, God's Salvation, and so must we. No salvation will serve this man's turn but one which is Divine from top to bottom, God's in the beginning, God's in the carrying on and God's in the concluding. It is by the blessed doctrine of substitution, Believe and live, that a soul passes from death to life.

You have well reminded us that we are tenants and God is the great Landlord of the house in which we dwell. Our breath is in our nostrils, but He keeps it there, and we owe the continued possession of our existence every day to Him. There is a clause in every man's lease that the Landlord has at all times the right to enter and to call His tenant to account. Oh that this man may hear the still small voice and prepare to meet his God, that he may offer the key of his house to the Great Landlord and acknowledge that he lives on sufferance as His tenant. May he obey the inward monitor and turn while the door of mercy stands open.

We pray that he may hear God's voice concerning His holy plan for his life. The mere letter of the Word alone will kill, but when we put our ear down to the promises of Scripture till we hear God speaking through them to our soul, then the Word has power. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. We pray that the Lord will cause this man to hear the Gospel as God's own voice to him, not as the word of man, but as it is in truth the Word of God, that he may be warned by its threats, cheered by its promises and comforted by every good Word of the Lord, so that it may be life and salvation to him.

Let us pray together. O Lord Jesus, who reigns over darkness and whose light expels all darkness, look in mercy upon this former landlord. Convict him of his sin and his need, and show him that to seek to save his life apart from Thee is to lose it. Grant him grace to lose his life for Thy sake, to trust wholly in Thy blood and righteousness, and so to save it. Thou alone art the way of salvation, for whosoever believes on Thee shall not be ashamed. Draw him by Thy Spirit, cause him to hear the voice of the Shepherd and to follow no stranger, and bring him forth by Thine effectual deliverance as Thou didst bring Thy people of old. Make his deliverance to be all of grace, that he may willingly assent and consent to Thy salvation and give Thee all the glory. Guide him in Thy holy plan, and keep him in the Truth of Thy salvation which never fades. We ask this in Thy name and for Thy glory alone. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in prayer for your former landlord and thank you for bringing this request with such care for his soul.

The Lord Jesus spoke truly when He said, whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for Him will save it. As it is written, what is a man profited if he gain the whole world and lose his own soul. There is a great difference between the salvation the world offers and the salvation Christ offers, and the difference is as great as between destruction and life itself. To lose our life for Christ is not to be destroyed, but to be saved, for He is the cause of our salvation and He brings many sons to glory.

We pray with you now.

Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation. We ask for your mercy and grace upon this man, the former landlord. By your Holy Spirit, open his heart to hear your voice and to understand your holy plan for his life. Grant him a careful hearing and a continual recollection of your word. Help him to see that present things are temporary, and to turn from trusting in himself or in this world, and to confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that you raised Him from the dead. Lead him to lose his life for Christ, so that he may truly save it and receive the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. Let your light expel all darkness, and let him know your love and faithfulness. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, who reigns over all.

We encourage you to continue to pray and to show Christ's love to him, remembering that now is the acceptable time, now is the day of salvation. The Lord is near and His salvation is held out in a short word, that if we believe and confess Him, we shall be saved. We will keep praying that he comes to know this saving wisdom and power for himself, and that he walks in the way that leads to life.

We join you in prayer for your former landlord and thank God for your desire to see him come to salvation through Jesus Christ.

The verse you shared holds the heart of the gospel. Jesus said that trying to hold on to our own life and way will lead to losing it, but surrendering our life to Him is how it is truly saved. That surrender is not a loss at all, but the way to forgiveness, new life, and the hope of eternal glory with God. Scripture teaches that if a person confesses with the mouth that Jesus is Lord and believes in the heart that God raised Him from the dead, he will be saved. That confession now is unto salvation.

We pray that the Lord will speak to this man in a way he can clearly hear. The Bible describes the voice of the Lord as powerful, like the sound of many waters and like thunder, a voice that opens blind eyes and brings those who sit in darkness out of the prison house. Our calling is to see people turned from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those made holy by faith in Christ. There are two kingdoms, and they are opposed to one another, but Jesus has power to deliver from the kingdom of darkness and bring a person into the kingdom of light. His blood cleanses from all sin, and no one is beyond His mercy.

This is the mystery that was hidden and is now revealed, Christ in a person, the hope of glory. We pray that your former landlord will hear that offer and not put it off, because Scripture says now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation. God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, and He reigns over all darkness. His light expels darkness and His power is greater than any unclean spirit or difficult circumstance.

Let us pray together. Lord Jesus, we lift this man before You and ask for Your mercy and grace upon him. Speak to his heart by Your Spirit and help him to hear Your voice and understand Your holy plan for his life. Open his eyes, turn him from darkness to Your light, and deliver him from the power of the enemy. Bring him to repentance and faith so that he will lose his life for Your sake and truly save it. Forgive his sins through Your blood, fill him with Your presence, and clothe him with Your salvation. We declare Your victory and Your greatness over this rented apartment situation and over every area of his life, and we trust You to lead him in Your love and faithfulness. In Jesus name, Amen.
