Former landlord

Kensem

Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus' name based on this verse.
Luke 9:24 states: "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it." (ESV)
Please pray that the landlord will give his life to our Lord Jesus, so that he will not lose it.

Lord Jesus we believe that you reign over the darkness, and your light expels all darkness and all unclean spirits from those affected by it.
Lord Jesus, we declare victory over this rented apartment situation, and we ask for your healing power to guide the former landlord on his life's journey.
We believe everyone will see your Greatness and Power.
No one can withstand Your mighty power. We ask your mercy and grace.
We thank you for your love and faithfulness.
Amen

Please also pray that he can hear God's voice concerning His holy plan for his life

We join you in lifting up this former landlord before the throne of grace and we agree with you in Jesus' name that the Lord's light expels all darkness.

We love the verse you have stood upon, for it contains the heart of the gospel. Luke 9:24 says, For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it. Our Lord spoke these words as He called His disciples to take up their cross daily and follow Him, Luke 9:23. To save our life in this world by holding tightly to our own will, our pride, and our sin is to lose it for eternity, but to surrender all to Jesus, to lose our life for His sake, is to find true and everlasting life. This is the great exchange that only Jesus can offer.

We also rejoice that you have prayed so clearly in the name of Jesus, for there is no other way to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. It is only through faith in Jesus that this landlord can pass from darkness to light and from death to life.

We pray together for him now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord. We thank You for Your love and faithfulness that endures forever and for Your mercy and grace that is new every morning. Lord Jesus, we agree that You reign over all darkness and Your light overcomes it, for You have said I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life, John 8:12. We ask that Your light would shine into the heart of this former landlord and that every work of darkness and every unclean influence would be expelled by Your holy presence.

We declare victory in this rented apartment situation not by our own power but by Yours, for no one can withstand Your mighty power. We ask that You would draw this man to Yourself, that he would hear Your voice and respond to Your call. Your Word says that You desire all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:4, and that You are not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9. So we pray that he would lose his life for Your sake so that he may truly save it. Bring him to repentance and faith, that if he will confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in his heart that You raised Him from the dead, he will be saved, Romans 10:9. Make him a new creation in Christ, for if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new, 2 Corinthians 5:17.

Father, we pray that as he surrenders to You, he will hear Your voice clearly concerning Your holy plan for his life. Speak to him through Your Word, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ, Romans 10:17, and guide him by Your Holy Spirit into all truth. Heal any brokenness in his journey and lead him in paths of righteousness for Your name's sake, Psalm 23:3. May everyone involved see Your greatness and power at work.

We thank You, Lord, that You hear our prayers when we ask according to Your will. We trust this man into Your loving and sovereign hands and we ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ our Savior, Amen.

Thank you for bringing your former landlord to the Lord with such care. It says a lot that after the strain of a rental situation, your first concern is for his life and his future with Jesus, and that you want him to truly hear God.

We join you in that. We love your confidence that Jesus reigns over darkness and that His light and mercy are stronger than any hurt or frustration tied to that apartment. We are praying with you that the Lord would draw your landlord to Himself, that his heart would be open to the gospel, and that he would come to know the life that is found only in Christ.

Hearing God's voice and discerning His plan is something that grows as a person comes to know Him. God does guide, and He most clearly does it as someone spends time in His Word and learns to recognize His character there, with other quiet promptings lining up with what He has already said. It is often a process more than a single moment.

One simple way to keep carrying this is to continue praying for him by name when you think of him, asking God to place truth and kind witnesses in his path and to give you peace and closure regarding the rental season as well.

Father, we lift this landlord to You. Draw him gently to Jesus, open his eyes to Your love and truth, and help him hear Your leading for his life. Bring healing where there has been tension, and give our friend continued grace and peace as he trusts You with this. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer for your former landlord is a right and loving petition, and we join you in bringing him before the throne of grace in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We pray according to that solemn word in Luke 9:24, that he may be brought to see that to save his life by holding it for himself is to lose it, but to lose his life for Christ is to save it. May the Lord in His mercy not leave him to stumble at Christ as a stone of stumbling and rock of offense, but reveal Christ to him as a sanctuary and the sure cornerstone of all hope. The natural heart will not have this Man to reign over it, and stumbles at the doctrine of grace which declares that salvation is by trusting in Christ alone without any merit of our own. We pray that pride may be broken and that he may be made willing to take God's salvation as God gives it.

We ask that he may come to know the truth of God's salvation in his own soul, that he may know a real Fall and his own true sinnership, and then a real Atonement made by Christ upon the cross, and through that a real pardon, full and abiding. For there is permanence in God's salvation, it will never fade, and no salvation will serve his turn but one which is Divine from top to bottom, God's in the beginning, God's in the carrying on and God's in the concluding. When he wholly and entirely trusts himself in the hands of Christ, then his eyes shall see God's Salvation, for wherever we see Jesus we see God's Salvation itself.

We pray with you that the Lord Jesus who reigns over the darkness will cause His light to expel all darkness and that every unclean influence shall flee before Him. May the Lord grant to this man a broken heart for sin, for if the heart be broken by the Holy Ghost salvation will be its ultimate issue, and may the great Physician heal him. May he hear God's voice, not as a vague impression, but as he turns his eyes to God's Word where true comfort is found, and may the Holy Spirit, gentle as a dove, speak powerfully and calmly to his soul concerning the holy plan God has for those who are in Christ.

We also lay before the Lord the rented apartment situation which has occasioned care. We ask for peace, for a just and quiet resolution, and for grace to rest in the faithfulness of God who will not suffer His people to be tried above what they are able, but will limit the trial and make a way of escape. May you also be comforted as you look into God's Word and wait upon His promise.

We commend your former landlord to the particular love and knowledge of Christ who prays for those yet uncalled, and we ask all these mercies in the prevailing name of Jesus, our only hope. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in prayer for your former landlord according to the word of the Lord in Luke 9:24, that whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for Jesus will save it.

We pray that God in His mercy would open this man's eyes to see that there is no profit in gaining the whole world if he loses his own soul, and that true salvation and true preservation of life are found only when a person surrenders his life to Christ. As Scripture teaches, salvation is in Christ Jesus alone with eternal glory, and it comes not by our own power but by putting on Christ and receiving the Spirit of adoption.

We pray that he would hear the voice of God and be moved to turn to Him while there is still time. Now is the acceptable time, now is the day of salvation, and God is ready to heal those who turn to Him. Though many do not yet recognize the things that lead to salvation, God shows His love by calling them and drawing them, and He will save all who repent and come to Him.

So we ask the Lord Jesus, who reigns over all darkness and whose light expels darkness, to work in this landlord's heart, to grant him repentance and faith, to help him hear God's holy plan for his life, and to bring him from darkness to light. We pray that he would lose his life for the sake of Christ so that he may truly save it, and that he would come to know the love and faithfulness of God.

We thank God that He desires all to be saved and that conversion is possible for every person. May the Lord have mercy on him and guide him into eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen.

We join you in prayer for this former landlord and for the rented apartment situation you mentioned, and we take seriously the verse you shared. Jesus said that whoever tries to hold on to his life will lose it, but whoever surrenders his life for His sake will save it. That is the heart of salvation. It is not holding on more tightly to ourselves, but letting go and entrusting our whole life to Jesus, and in that surrender we truly find life.

We pray that this man will come to that place of surrender. The grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all people, and the promise stands that whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. It is a great salvation, open to anyone who will come, and Jesus said He will not cast out anyone who comes to Him. He already bore the curse for sin and opened the way, so no one is beyond His reach. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God, so we pray that the Word of Christ will come to this landlord clearly, that he will hear the good news of Jesus, believe, and call upon Him and be saved. Today is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation, and we pray he will not put it off but will respond while the Lord is drawing him.

We also join you in praying that he will hear God's voice concerning His holy plan for his life. Scripture describes the voice of the Lord as powerful and full of majesty, upon the waters, like the sound of many waters and like thunder, a voice that breaks strong cedars, divides flames of fire, and shakes the wilderness, yet also a voice that speaks personally and is to be recognized. Just as a child before birth learns to know its mother's voice by hearing it over many months and then finds comfort in that familiar voice, we learn to recognize the Lord's voice as we hear His Word. We pray that God will speak to this landlord through His Word, that his ears and heart will be opened to recognize the voice of Jesus, to know it as true and to follow it, and that he will be guided into the purpose God has for him.

Lord Jesus, we agree that You reign over darkness and Your light drives out darkness and every unclean influence. We declare Your victory over this rented apartment situation and ask for Your healing power and mercy and grace to be at work. Lead this former landlord on his life's journey, draw him to Yourself, save him as he surrenders his life to You, and let him hear and obey Your voice. Reveal Your greatness and power so that all involved will see Your faithfulness and love. We thank You for Your love that does not fail and for the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ alone. Amen.
