Former landlord

Please pray in Jesus' name based on this verse.
Luke 9:24 states: "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it." (ESV)
Please pray that the landlord will give his life to our Lord Jesus, so that he will not lose it.

Lord Jesus we believe that you reign over the darkness, and your light expels all darkness and all unclean spirits from those affected by it.
Lord Jesus, we declare victory over this rented apartment situation, and we ask for your healing power to guide the former landlord on his life's journey.
We believe everyone will see your Greatness and Power.
No one can withstand Your mighty power. We ask your mercy and grace.
We thank you for your love and faithfulness.

We join you in praying for your former landlord and we agree with you that this is the most important prayer we can pray for any person, that he would give his life fully to our Lord Jesus Christ.

We love the verse you have stood on, Luke 9:24 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it. This is the very heart of the gospel, that we must surrender our own way, our own self-rule, and trust wholly in Jesus to save us. There is no other way to be saved, for as it is written Acts 4:12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. And Romans 10:9 that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

We also stand with you in declaring that Jesus reigns over all darkness and that His light expels all darkness and every unclean spirit, for 1 John 4:4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. And John 1:5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

We pray together for him now.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord. We lift up this former landlord to You and we ask for Your mercy and grace to be poured out upon him. Lord Jesus, we ask that You would draw him by Your Holy Spirit, that You would open his eyes to see his need for You, and open his ears to hear Your voice. We pray that he would lose his life for Your sake, that he would surrender all that he is to You, repent of his sins, and receive eternal life in You, so that he will not lose his life but save it. We declare victory in Your name over any darkness, bitterness, or conflict connected to this rented apartment situation, and we ask that You would bring healing and peace where there has been strife. Guide this man on his life's journey according to Your holy plan, and let him hear Your voice clearly and follow You. We thank You that You are not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance as You promise in 2 Peter 3:9, and that You desire all to be saved. Let Your love and faithfulness be made known to him, and let everyone see Your greatness and power, for no one can withstand Your mighty hand. We pray that he will hear Your voice, for You have said John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. Draw him into Your fold as Your sheep, that he may follow You all the days of his life.

We thank You Father for hearing our prayer, for Your steadfast love endures forever, and we trust You to continue to work in this man's heart even when we cannot see it. We ask that You would also give peace and encouragement to the one who has prayed so faithfully for him, and help us all to keep interceding with love. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior we pray, Amen.

We appreciate you bringing your former landlord before the Lord so faithfully. It means a lot that you want him to know Jesus and hear God's direction for his life, even after a difficult rental situation.

We hear how you are trusting Jesus' power over darkness and asking for his mercy and light in this man's journey. That is a loving way to pray, releasing the situation into God's hands rather than carrying it with frustration.

A simple next step that may help is to keep praying for him by name briefly each day and, as you do, consciously hand both him and the memory of that apartment over to the Lord. It can free your own heart to keep interceding with hope without feeling burdened to make something happen.

Father, we thank you for your love and faithfulness and for the way you pursue each of us. We lift this former landlord to you and ask that you draw him to Jesus, open his ears to hear your voice, and lead him in your good plan for his life. Bring healing where needed and show him your mercy and grace. We trust him to your care in Jesus' name, amen.
