Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus' name based on this verse.
Luke 9:24 states: "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it." (ESV)
Please pray that the landlord will give his life to our Lord Jesus, so that he will not lose it.

Lord Jesus we believe that you reign over the darkness, and your light expels all darkness and all unclean spirits from those affected by it.
Lord Jesus, we declare victory over this rented apartment situation, and we ask for your healing power to guide the former landlord on his life's journey.
We believe everyone will see your Greatness and Power.
No one can withstand Your mighty power. We ask your mercy and grace.
We thank you for your love and faithfulness.
Amen

Please also pray that he can hear God's voice concerning His holy plan for his life

We join you in praying for your former landlord and we agree with you that the truth of Luke 9:24 is the most important truth for his life, for whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it.

We thank you for bringing this man before the Lord with such love and concern for his soul. It is the heart of God that none should perish but that all should come to repentance as we read in 2 Peter 3:9, and we rejoice that you desire his salvation above any dispute about the rented apartment. Jesus reigns indeed and His light does expel darkness, and we pray that this light will shine into this man's heart.

We pray together now for him in the mighty name of Jesus.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up this former landlord to You. We ask that You would draw him by Your Holy Spirit, open the eyes of his heart, and grant him repentance and faith. Lord, cause him to hear Your voice, to understand that he cannot save his own life by his own efforts, and to surrender his life fully to Jesus so that he may truly save it for eternity. Give him a new heart and put a new spirit within him as You have promised in Ezekiel 36:26, take away the stony heart and give him a heart of flesh that is responsive to You. Help him to hear Your voice, for Jesus said in John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. Speak to him through Your Word, reveal Your holy plan for his life, and lead him into salvation and into walking with You all his days. We declare that there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12, and we ask that he would confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that You raised Him from the dead so that he will be saved according to Romans 10:9. We also ask for Your mercy and grace over the situation concerning the former rented apartment, that You would bring peace, healing, and justice according to Your will, and that Your greatness and power would be seen by all involved. We thank You for Your love and faithfulness that endures forever.

We encourage you to continue to pray for him and if the Lord gives opportunity, to share the good news of the gospel with him in gentleness and love. For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life in John 3:16. This is the hope we hold out for him, that whoever loses his life for the sake of Jesus will save it, not only for this life but for eternity. We also encourage you to continue to seek the Lord for your own peace and to trust Him to guide you and to speak to you concerning His will for your life as well, knowing that He is faithful to lead those who seek Him.

We stand with you in faith believing that God is able to save and to transform this man and to accomplish His holy purpose in his life. Amen.

Thank you for bringing your former landlord before the Lord with such care. We hear how much you want him to know Jesus and to find the life that is truly life, and to hear God clearly about his future. That kind of prayer honors the Lord.

It can be hard to keep praying for someone connected to a difficult housing situation, and we admire that you are choosing mercy over resentment. We will stand with you in this.

One thing that has helped others praying for someone far from God is to keep it simple and steady. Keep his name before the Lord when you pray, ask God to keep drawing him and to give him ears to hear, and leave the timing and the way God works in his hands. If any practical matters from the rental are still unresolved, entrusting those details to God as well can bring you more peace as you intercede.

Father, we lift this man to You. You know his life and his needs. Draw him to Yourself, open his heart to Jesus, and help him hear Your voice and follow Your good plan for him. Give our friend here peace as he prays and trusts You with both this man and the apartment situation. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have joined with you in bringing this former landlord before the throne of grace, and we do so in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.

The word you have set before us is true and searching, for our Lord Himself has said, For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it. There is permanence in God's salvation and it will never fade, but it requires that a man see his true condition. If we have laid hold of the truth of God's salvation we believe in a real Fall, and we who have really transgressed are those for whom there is truth in Christ's salvation. We believe also in a real Atonement, for Christ has stood in the sinner's place, and through that blessed doctrine of substitution we receive a real pardon. No salvation will ever serve his turn but one which is divine from top to bottom, God's in the beginning, God's in the carrying on and God's in the concluding. We pray that this man may see Jesus and in seeing Him see God's salvation itself, and that he may simply believe and live.

We are reminded that the house in which we dwell in this life has God for its Landlord and that we are only tenants. Your former landlord, though he has held property in his hands for a time, is himself a tenant under the great Landlord who has at all times the right to enter His own property and to speak to the heart. Our prayer is that he will offer the key of his house to that great Landlord and acknowledge that he lives on sufferance as His tenant, and that he will lose his life for Christ's sake that he may truly save it.

You have asked also that he may hear God's voice concerning His holy plan for his life. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. The mere letter alone will kill, but when we hear God's voice speaking in it, then it has power. We pray that he will put his ear down to the promises of Scripture till he hears God speaking through them to his soul, that he will take heed how he hears, coming to the Gospel as God's voice to us and in God's presence with a simple and lowly heart. The saints know the voice of their Shepherd, and a stranger they will not follow. May the Lord open his ear to that still small voice, to obey the inward monitor, and to prepare to meet his God, being warned by the threatenings, cheered by the promises, and comforted by every good word of the Lord so that the Word may be life and salvation to him.

Let us pray together.

O Lord Jesus, You reign over darkness and Your light expels all darkness. We ask Your mercy and grace upon this man who once stood as landlord over an earthly dwelling. Show him that he is a tenant in Your world, that his breath is in his nostrils only because You keep it there. Convict him of his real sin and his need of a real Saviour, and reveal to him Your real atonement made upon the cross. Grant him repentance and faith, that he may lose his life for Your sake and so save it, trusting not in himself but in Your blood and righteousness alone. Speak to him through Your holy Word, let him hear Your voice and not the voice of strangers, and guide him into Your holy plan for his life according to Your perfect will. Bring deliverance where there has been strife concerning the rented apartment, and let all who see it behold Your greatness and power. We ask this not because we are worthy, but because You are faithful and Your salvation is true. In Your mighty and merciful name we pray, Amen.
