The battle against pornography is not just a struggle of the flesh but a spiritual war for your mind, heart, and purity. Jesus said in Matthew 5:28, *"But I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart."* This sin is serious, but it is not beyond the reach of God’s grace. The apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 10:13, *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure."* You are not powerless—God has provided a way out, and He will strengthen you to walk in victory.
We must also address the danger of remaining in this sin. Pornography distorts God’s design for intimacy, which is meant to be a sacred covenant between a husband and wife (Hebrews 13:4). But take heart—Jesus came to *"proclaim release to the captives... and to set at liberty those who are oppressed"* (Luke 4:18). You do not have to live in bondage any longer.
