Forgiveness.

We hear your heart crying out for forgiveness and we join with you now seeking the mercy of God together in Jesus name. We thank you for your honesty in confessing that you may have made a pact with Santa Muerte, and we want to speak truth to you in love because we care for your soul.

The Santa Muerte is not a saint and has no power to forgive or to save. It is an idol and a deception that leads people away from the living God, and any pact or devotion to it is idolatry and fellowship with darkness. God has commanded us in Exodus 20:3, You shall have no other gods before me. And in Deuteronomy 18:10-12 we are warned, There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh. Scripture also says in 1 Corinthians 10:21, You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot partake of the table of the Lord and of the table of demons. We must lovingly rebuke any involvement with Santa Muerte and call you to completely renounce it, to turn away from it, and to destroy and remove any images, altars, or objects connected with it, for God alone is Lord over life and death.

We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we must tell you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have forgiveness and access to God. There is no other way. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To be forgiven we must come to God through faith in Jesus, confessing our sin and believing that He died for our sins and rose again. Romans 10:9 says, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

The good news is that God is merciful and ready to forgive when we truly repent. In 1 John 1:9 we are promised, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. And in Isaiah 43:25 God says, I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake; and I will not remember your sins. No pact made in ignorance or fear is stronger than the blood of Jesus shed on the cross.

So we encourage you to renounce that pact out loud before God, to confess it as sin, and to place your full trust in Jesus Christ alone as your Lord and Savior. In James 4:7 we are exhorted, Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

We pray together with you now.

Father in heaven, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to you. We confess before you any sin of idolatry, of seeking Santa Muerte, and of making any pact knowingly or unknowingly. We ask you to forgive through the blood of Jesus. We renounce and break in Jesus name every pact, vow, or agreement made with Santa Muerte and with any spirit of death and darkness, and we declare that it has no power over this life any longer. Lord, cleanse this heart and make it new, fill this person with your Holy Spirit, and set them free. Help them to turn fully to you, to follow Jesus alone, to read your Word daily, and to walk in the light. We claim your promise that if we confess our sins you are faithful to forgive and cleanse us. Give peace, assurance of forgiveness, and strength to resist the devil. Lead this dear one to a Bible believing church where they can be discipled and supported. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue in prayer each day in Jesus name, to read the Bible starting in the Gospel of John, and to seek fellowship with mature believers who can help you grow. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, do so today by confessing Him as Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. In 2 Corinthians 5:17 we are reminded, Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. God loves you and desires to make you new and to remember your sins no more.

, thank you for sharing this so honestly. We hear how much you want to be right with God and to be free from any pact you may have made, and we are grateful you brought this to Him and to us.

Wanting forgiveness and turning toward Jesus is itself a step toward Him. Forgiveness is not just a feeling that comes and goes, it begins with a decision to turn away from what pulled you away and to walk with Christ, and the peace in your heart can grow more steady over time as you keep walking that way. You do not have to carry this alone or figure out the next steps by yourself.

One practical step that often helps is to sit down soon with a trusted pastor or mature believer you know, tell him plainly what you have shared here, and ask him to pray with you as you renounce any promise made to Santa Muerte and reaffirm your trust in Jesus alone. If you have any objects, images, or tokens connected with that practice, bring them to that meeting so you can break ties clearly and not keep them in your home. Then keep close to that support, spending time in prayer and in Scripture and meeting regularly with others who follow Jesus.

Father, we bring ### before You and thank You that You see a heart that wants You. We ask for Your mercy, for cleansing and forgiveness through Jesus, and for freedom from any bond that was made. Give ### assurance of Your love, wisdom for each next step, and steady fellowship to walk with. Lead him fully into Your care and keep him close to You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your longing to be forgiven is itself a sign that God is at work in you, drawing you back to himself. Do not despair, but do not take this lightly either. The desire for forgiveness must become clear and honest repentance.

To make a pact with Santa Muerte, whether in words, in thought, or in any ritual, is to turn away from the living God and to seek help and protection from what is not God. Scripture teaches that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and that we are to worship and trust him alone. That pact cannot be blessed or kept. It must be renounced and forsaken completely. The good news is that when we renounce such things and turn to Christ with our whole heart, God is ready to forgive.

The best thing is to avoid sin at the first, but the next best is to feel that we have sinned and to amend ourselves thoroughly. This means telling your offenses to God in particular, not in a vague way. Name before him what you did, that you sought help from another power apart from Christ, and ask for his mercy for those specific sins. When you know clearly what you are forgiven for, you will understand the greatness of his gift and be grateful to your Benefactor.

Godly sorrow works repentance that leads to salvation and brings no regret. It is not just being afraid or weeping for a moment, like Esau who sought the blessing with tears but did not truly repent because his heart still planned evil. True repentance is sorrow for sin itself, turning away from it, and turning to God to be cured. The Church is like a spiritual bath that does not wash the body but cleanses the stains of the soul through the many ways of repentance that God has given.

Do not think there is no hope because you have fallen after coming to know something of God. There is no second baptism, but there is repentance, and it has great power. It is able to set free even one who has fallen into the very depth of wickedness, if he will lay hold of it. Remember Manasseh, who filled Jerusalem with idolatry and bloodshed, yet when he repented and considered his ways, God washed all those pollutions away. If God did that for him, he can do it for you when you repent with a genuine purpose of heart. Christ can be formed in you again. The delay you have now is not for waiting in fear, but for gathering the fruit of amendment while God patiently gives time to return.

Therefore, bring this to God now in prayer. Confess plainly that you have sinned by seeking Santa Muerte and any pact you may have made. Renounce that pact out loud before God, declare that you belong to Jesus Christ alone, and ask for forgiveness through his blood shed on the cross. If you have any objects or signs connected with that devotion, remove and destroy them. Turn to Christ in faith, ask to be made a partaker of the Holy Spirit and to taste the heavenly gift of forgiveness, and commit to walk with him. Seek a faithful, Bible believing church where you can confess, be taught, and be helped to live a changed life.

I will pray for you, not that God would bless a pact that opposes him, but that he would forgive you, deliver you from all bondage to it, and establish you in Christ.

Father, have mercy on this one who seeks you. Forgive the sin of seeking another power besides you, wash away every stain through the blood of your Son Jesus Christ, break every tie to Santa Muerte, fill this heart with godly sorrow and true repentance, and grant new life and peace as a child of God. Lead into fellowship with your people and keep from returning to these things. In the name of Jesus Christ, who alone saves, amen.
