Forgiveness

Dhitlor

Humble Servant of All
Please pray for me as I am experiencing deep hurdles and attacks as God is leading me out of being bound to unforgiveness for years of my life.

We stand with you in this sacred moment of breaking free from the chains of unforgiveness, for we know this is a battle not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces that seek to keep you in bondage. The Lord is faithful, and He is leading you into the freedom that comes only through Christ Jesus. Unforgiveness is a heavy burden that the enemy uses to steal your joy, hinder your prayers, and keep you from experiencing the fullness of God’s love and purpose for your life. But take heart, for the Scripture declares in **Colossians 3:13**, *"bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."* And in **Matthew 6:14-15**, Jesus Himself warns us, *"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."*

This is not a suggestion—it is a commandment rooted in the very nature of God’s mercy toward us. You cannot hold onto bitterness and expect to walk in the fullness of what God has for you. Unforgiveness is a sin that grieves the Holy Spirit, and it opens the door for the enemy to torment you with memories, resentment, and even physical or emotional afflictions. But praise God, you are not powerless! The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in you, and He is greater than the one who seeks to accuse and oppress you. **2 Corinthians 2:10-11** reminds us, *"Now I also forgive whomever you forgive anything. For if indeed I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven that one for your sakes in Christ’s presence, that no advantage may be gained over us by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his schemes."*

We must also address this: if your unforgiveness is tied to a relationship that was outside of God’s design—such as a past romantic involvement that included fornication, adultery, or an ungodly union—then part of your healing must include repentance for any sin on your part as well. **1 John 1:9** assures us, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* God’s forgiveness is complete, but we must walk in it by releasing others *and* ourselves from the weight of sin. If this applies to you, we urge you to repent and surrender that area to the Lord, asking Him to cleanse you and restore you fully.

Now, let us pray over you with the authority and love of Christ:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is in the midst of a fierce battle for their freedom. Lord, You see the depth of their pain, the years stolen by bitterness, and the wounds that have festered in the darkness. But today, we declare that the light of Your truth is exposing every hidden thing, and Your love is breaking every chain. Father, we ask that You grant them a supernatural ability to forgive—not in their own strength, but through the power of Your Holy Spirit. Remove every root of bitterness, every stronghold of resentment, and every lie of the enemy that says holding onto this pain is justified. Lord, remind them that forgiveness is not excusing the offense or pretending it didn’t hurt; it is choosing to release the debt, just as You released us from our sins through the blood of Jesus.

We rebuke every spiritual attack against their mind, emotions, and body. No weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let them experience the joy of the Lord as their strength (Nehemiah 8:10). If there is any area of sin tied to this unforgiveness—whether their own or another’s—we ask for Your conviction, repentance, and complete cleansing. Restore what the locusts have eaten, Lord, and redeem the years that have been lost (Joel 2:25).

Father, surround them with Your angels, encamp around them with Your presence, and let them know they are not alone in this fight. Give them divine encounters with Your love, whether through Your Word, worship, or godly counsel. Let them taste and see that You are good, and that Your mercy endures forever (Psalm 34:8). Strengthen their heart to walk in obedience, even when it feels impossible, for Your yoke is easy and Your burden is light (Matthew 11:30).

We thank You, Lord, for the victory that is already won in Jesus’ name. We declare that our brother/sister is stepping into a new season of freedom, healing, and purpose. May they forgive as You have forgiven them, and may their testimony bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ mighty and holy name, we pray, **Amen.**

Stand firm in this, beloved. The enemy will try to bring back the memories, the pain, or even the person who hurt you to test your resolve. But you must resist him, steadfast in the faith (1 Peter 5:9). When the thoughts come, speak the Word of God over them. Declare, *"I forgive [name] in Jesus’ name, and I release them to God."* If you struggle, cry out to the Lord—He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). And remember, forgiveness is a process, but God is faithful to complete the work He has started in you (Philippians 1:6).

We are here with you, interceding and believing for your total breakthrough. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). You are not defined by your past or your pain—you are defined by the blood of Christ and the love of the Father. Walk in that truth, and watch as He turns your mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11).

We're right here with you, friend. Forgiveness is indeed a heavy burden, but it's also the key to unlocking the freedom and healing that Jesus wants for you. We believe that as you take that first step in forgiving, God will meet you there and begin to work mightily in your life. Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our friend who is struggling with unforgiveness. Lord, we ask that You would grant them the strength and courage to forgive, not just with their words, but with their hearts. Help them to understand that forgiveness doesn't mean what happened was okay, but it's a choice to let go of the bitterness and pain. We ask that You would heal their wounds, restore their joy, and fill them with Your peace. Give them divine encounters with Your love and remind them of Your unfailing faithfulness. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred opportunity to lift you up in prayer as you walk this difficult but transformative path toward freedom in Christ. The battle against long-standing unforgiveness is one of the hardest spiritual journeys we can face, and we honor your willingness to surrender this burden at the foot of the cross.

These past days, we’ve continued to intercede for you, asking the Lord to break every chain of bitterness, to soften your heart where it’s been hardened, and to flood your soul with His supernatural peace that surpasses all understanding. We’ve prayed for divine protection over your mind and emotions as the enemy seeks to discourage you, and we’ve asked the Holy Spirit to reveal Himself as your Comforter and Guide in this season.

If the Lord has begun to move in your heart—whether through a sudden release, a gradual healing, or even just a glimmer of hope—we’d love for you to share that with us. Your testimony could be the very encouragement someone else needs to take their own steps toward forgiveness. And if this struggle still feels heavy, please don’t hesitate to post again so we can continue to stand with you in prayer, believing for your complete breakthrough.

We’re reminded of Jesus’ words in Matthew 11:28, where He invites all who are weary and burdened to come to Him for rest. ###, He is faithful to do what He has promised. Keep pressing into Him, even when the path feels steep. We’re here, cheering you on and covering you in prayer as you walk in obedience to His call.

May the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, restore you, establish you, strengthen you, and settle you on a firm foundation. We love you, and we’re believing for your total freedom in Jesus’ name.
