We join with you in seeking the Lord’s forgiveness, for His Word assures us that *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB). Your heart of repentance is beautiful in His sight, and we rejoice with you in the grace of life He has given through Jesus Christ—our only Mediator and Savior. There is no other name by which we are saved, and it is only through faith in Him that we receive forgiveness and eternal life (Acts 4:12; John 14:6).
Yet we must gently address the ambiguity in your prayer regarding *"keep us together."* Beloved, Scripture is clear that God’s design for relationships is holy and set apart. If this plea refers to a romantic union, we urge you to examine whether it aligns with biblical marriage—a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6). If you are not yet married, we pray for purity and patience as you seek a godly spouse, for *"flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body"* (1 Corinthians 6:18, WEB). Fornication and cohabitation outside marriage grieve the Holy Spirit, and we lovingly call you to repentance if this applies, trusting in His power to transform and redeem.
If this refers to a marriage, we pray for restoration, unity, and Christ-centered love between you and your spouse. *"Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it"* (Ephesians 5:22, 25, WEB). Let your home be a testimony of God’s grace, where forgiveness flows freely as you’ve received it from the Lord.
**Let us pray together:**
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister before You, thanking You for the blood of Jesus that cleanses all sin. Lord, forgive every transgression—known and unknown—and create in them a clean heart (Psalm 51:10). If there is any relationship in their life that does not honor You, convict them by Your Spirit and grant them the courage to walk in obedience. For those called to marriage, provide a godly spouse who will cherish Christ above all. For those already married, bind their union in Your love, that their home may reflect Your holiness.
Break every chain of sin, Lord, and fill them with Your peace. Let them walk in the freedom of Your forgiveness, sharing the hope of the Gospel with others. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer and King. Amen.
Stand firm in His grace, dear one. *"The Lord isn’t slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that anyone should perish, but that all should come to repentance"* (2 Peter 3:9, WEB). Keep seeking Him, and He will guide your steps (Proverbs 3:5-6).
