Forgiveness

Disciple of Prayer
I’ve been struggling with forgiving people from my past. I want to forgive my parents, the mother of my child, ex friends and relationships. I also want to be forgiven as well. I no longer want to be hold any anger or grudges. I want to be healed from my past traumas and to truly forgive those who hurt me. Please pray for me. Thank you

We lift you up before the Lord, knowing that the weight of unforgiveness is a heavy burden no one was meant to carry. The desire to release anger, bitterness, and grudges is noble and aligns with God’s heart for you. The Scriptures remind us in Colossians 3:13, *"bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."* Forgiveness is not just an act of obedience—it is the path to your own freedom. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 6:14-15, *"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."* This is not a threat but a truth: unforgiveness binds us to the very pain we seek to escape.

We also recognize your longing to be forgiven, and we rejoice that God’s mercy is greater than any sin or failure. 1 John 1:9 assures us, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* Your past does not define you—Christ’s redemption does. He is ready to heal your traumas and restore what has been broken, but this healing often begins with the choice to forgive, even when it feels impossible. Remember, forgiveness does not mean what was done to you was right or that you must trust those who hurt you again. It means releasing them to God’s justice and choosing to walk in the peace He provides.

We must also address something tenderly but firmly: you mentioned "ex relationships," and we want to encourage you to examine these in the light of Scripture. If any of these relationships involved sexual immorality—whether fornication, adultery, or any intimacy outside of a biblical marriage—we urge you to repent and turn fully to God’s design for purity. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 says, *"Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* True healing includes aligning every area of your life with God’s Word, and that includes relationships. If you are not yet married, we pray you would seek a godly spouse in Christ, pursuing courtship with purity and the intention of a covenant marriage.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of this precious soul who longs to be free from the chains of unforgiveness and pain. Lord, You see every wound, every betrayal, every moment of heartache they have endured. We ask that You would pour out Your healing balm upon them, binding up their brokenhearted places by the power of Your Spirit. Give them the supernatural strength to forgive their parents, the mother of their child, former friends, and past relationships—just as Christ forgave us on the cross. Remove every root of bitterness, every lingering resentment, and replace it with Your peace that surpasses understanding.

Father, we also ask for forgiveness for any sins they have committed, known or unknown. Wash them clean by the blood of Jesus and restore their joy in Your salvation. If there has been sexual sin, Lord, break its power over them and renew their mind to walk in purity. Help them to see themselves as You see them: redeemed, beloved, and set apart for Your purposes.

Heal their traumas, Lord. Where the enemy has sought to steal, kill, and destroy, we declare that You are restoring what was lost. Give them a new heart, tender and yielded to Your will. Surround them with godly community who will walk with them in this journey of healing. And if they are seeking a spouse, Lord, lead them to a believer who will cherish them and honor You in marriage.

Most of all, Father, draw them closer to You. Let them know the depth of Your love in a way they never have before. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in victory and freedom every day of their life. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer and Healer. Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word daily, especially in the Psalms and the Gospels, where you will find comfort and truth. Consider memorizing Scripture about forgiveness and healing, such as Psalm 147:3: *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."* Also, seek out a biblical counselor or a mature believer who can walk with you through this process. You are not alone—God is with you, and He is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you. Keep pressing into Him, and do not lose heart. Your breakthrough is coming.

We're here with you, praying for your journey towards forgiveness and healing. It's courageous of you to seek freedom from the burden of unforgiveness. Remember, forgiveness isn't about excusing the past, but releasing it to God's justice and choosing peace. It's a process, and it's okay to take it one step at a time.

We're also praying for God's healing balm to be poured over your broken places. We ask that He would give you the strength to forgive, even when it's hard, and replace bitterness with His peace. We're believing for a breakthrough in your healing and a deeper walk with God.

Keep pressing in, friend. You're not alone, and God is faithful. Your breakthrough is coming.

Praying for you and your request in Jesus. I would just give everything to Jesus because Jesus did everything for us and I mean everything. Jesus lived for us, He did every feast day for us, He lived perfectly for us by perfect obedience to the Father for us, He forgave everyone who needed forgiven by us for us. Jesus died for us so that we wouldn’t even have to taste of death and believe me, I almost died many times and I didn’t feel the effects of heart attacks or smashing my face into the ground at 50 mph or faster on a 4 wheeler and getting flipped through the air over 100 feet and landing with the 4 wheeler on top of me just to name a few. I felt the recovery processes but the initial pains weren’t there. Thank You, Praise You Lord Jesus! Just do those things when they present themselves otherwise just give it to Jesus and let Him take care of it all.

Do you Believe Jesus died for our sins, is Risen from the dead, is Preparing a place for us and is about to call us to join Him?

Are you watching for Jesus in the Clouds of Glory? Jesus is about to call us to join Him!

We can do everything Jesus did and more! We can speak; sickness leave in Jesus! Be healed by Jesus stripes! I am healed by Jesus stripes! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

You can copy and paste this to pray every day and share...

There is nothing that happens for us that is bad. All things work for our good in Jesus! Look at everything as good!

Sing through out your days Thank You Jesus, Praise You Jesus, Glory to You Lord Jesus or anything that is on your heart to sing to Jesus! It doesn't matter how we sound, Angels will join in with us and Jesus will join in with us as well as fight for us, knock down walls for us, open locks for us, save people for us, evil will flee from us, He heals us and He will over flow His Holy Peace in us.

Praying for others on here and reading your Bible will help you tremendously.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.

Praying for others especially in your situation will help you tremendously in yours friend.

Take no thought for your life dear friend and Jesus will take thought for you. Sing praises and thanks to Jesus and He will overflow His Holy Spirit in you and so much more. He will fight for you and give you the desires of your heart.

Pray this prayer look up the verses and pray it again with your friends and family and let's mount up with wings as eagles and soar. Soar with me.

Let Us Pray: God I ask in Jesus' name, bless me to grow closer to You. I long for a more intimate relationship with You. God I take You at Your Word, if I will draw closer to You, You will draw closer to me (James 4:8). Show me how to draw closer to You. Bless me daily to cast off and forsake my thoughts and ways for my life, and exchange them for Your thoughts and ways for my life. Let me think Your thoughts and dream Your dreams for my life. God bless me to live and walk in Your love, mercy and forgiveness (Isaiah 55:7). I confess, I will take no thought for my life. I will trust You Father God to take thought for me and take care of me (Mathew 6:25-34). I will not be wise in my own eyes, I will fear You Lord and depart from evil and my flesh will be healed and my body will be refreshed (Proverbs 3:7-8) daily. Thank You Jesus for Your Promises! Lord make me the Child of God You need me to be in Christ for all those around me and for the world to see (Psalms 128:3). Not by my might, nor by my power, but by Your Spirt Christ Jesus (Zechariah 4:6) this shall happen. And it will happen, it is happening now in Your timing, Power, Strength, Might, and Spirit, Christ Jesus. God all that I have asked of you in this prayer please do the same for all those I love, care about, and every faithful prayer warrior on this site. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Lord Jesus, my Savior and Lord for answering this prayer with a Yes and Amen.

Bless us to sing praises and thanks to You Lord Jesus so You can fill us with the wine of the Spirit in Jesus Name, Amen.

Oh yeah, Jesus rose from the dead for us as well which is something I enjoy pointing out to someone who says Jesus was weak. Jesus wasn’t weak, Jesus, the very Name Jesus means strength to us who believe in Him. We are buried with Jesus and we are risen from the dead with Jesus in Jesus! We own the world together in Christ! Glory to You Lord Jesus!!!

I can go on and on about Jesus but I’ll let you go for now.
