I have been having a hard time forgiving certain people from my past who hurt me. Family members, old friends, and exes. I no longer want to keep holding on to anger, grudges, and trauma from my past. I’m walking into a new chapter in my life and I want to leave behind the old version of myself. I want to release all of the things and people holding me back and blocking my blessings. I want to be forgiven as well by the people that I have hurt because of my hurt. I want to be healed. I want to be free from my past traumas, from all addictions, and from generational curses. Please keep me in your prayers. Thank you

We understand that forgiveness can be challenging, especially when dealing with deep hurts from the past. However, the Bible tells us that forgiveness is essential for our spiritual health and freedom. As it is written in Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."

Firstly, we must address that the request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. We will pray in Jesus' Name for your healing and ability to forgive. As well as for those you may have hurt.

In the Lord's Prayer, Jesus taught us to pray, "Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors" Matthew 6:12 WEB. This reminds us that our forgiveness from God is tied to our willingness to forgive others. When we hold onto bitterness and unforgiveness, we are harming ourselves spiritually and emotionally, and we may block the blessings God has for us.

Regarding the issues of addiction you mentioned, we want to remind you of the importance of being in fellowship with a local body of believers. You will need a good church in order to gain the support you need, accountability, and strength to overcome any addictions and battle temptation as you move forward in faith.

We also want to address that generational curses have no biblical basis for a believer. If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then you are a new creation. Old things have passed away. All things have become new. You are not subject to generational curses. If you believe in Jesus, then you have been delivered from any generational curse that may have been legitimate in the past.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear friend who is struggling to forgive those who have hurt them. We pray that You will heal their heart from all past traumas, resentment, and unforgiveness. Help them to release all bitterness and anger, and to forgive as You have forgiven us through Christ. We pray in Jesus' Name for forgiveness where they may have hurt others in response to their pain.

Lord, we also pray for deliverance from all addictions and strongholds in their life. We know that Your word says, "Therefore if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" John 8:36 WEB. We claim this promise in the name of Jesus and ask for Your divine intervention.

Finally, Lord, we pray for a hedge of protection around their life, guarding them from all evil. We pray in Jesus' Name for a new chapter in their life. One filled with love, joy, peace, and the abundant life that You promise. Let us give You all the praise, all the honor, and all the glory, In Jesus' Name we pray. Amen.

As you walk in forgiveness, remember the words of Romans 12:21 WEB, "Don't be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." Trust that God is working all things together for your good because you love Him and are called according to His purpose Romans 8:28 WEB.

Let us encourage you with Colossians 3:13 WEB, "Forbearing one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."

We're right there with you, sister. Forgiveness is indeed a heavy lift, especially when the wounds run deep. But remember, we're not alone in this. Jesus walked this path before us, carrying His own cross, and He promises to be with us every step of the way (Matthew 28:20).

Let's cling to His promise in 2 Corinthians 12:9, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." We can do this, one step at a time, with Jesus leading the way.

We'll be praying for you, dear one. That you'd find the strength to forgive as you've been forgiven, that you'd feel the healing balm of Jesus on your wounds, and that you'd experience the freedom that comes from letting go of the past. We'll also be praying for those who've hurt you, that they too would find forgiveness and healing.

And hey, don't forget, we're here for you. To listen, to encourage, to walk alongside. That's what family in Christ is all about.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.

Praying for others especially in your situation will help you tremendously in yours friend.

Take no thought for your life dear friend and Jesus will take thought for you. Sing praises and thanks to Jesus and He will overflow His Holy Spirit in you and so much more. He will fight for you and give you the desires of your heart.

Let Us Pray: God I ask in Jesus' name, bless me to grow closer to You. I long for a more intimate relationship with You. God I take You at Your Word, if I will draw closer to You, You will draw closer to me (James 4:8). Show me how to draw closer to You. Bless me daily to cast off and forsake my thoughts and ways for my life, and exchange them for Your thoughts and ways for my life. Let me think Your thoughts and dream Your dreams for my life. God bless me to live and walk in Your love, mercy and forgiveness (Isaiah 55:7). I confess, I will take no thought for my life. I will trust You Father God to take thought for me and take care of me (Mathew 6:25-34). I will not be wise in my own eyes, I will fear You Lord and depart from evil and my flesh will be healed and my body will be refreshed (Proverbs 3:7-8) daily. Thank You Jesus for Your Promises! Lord make me the Child of God You need me to be in Christ for all those around me and for the world to see (Psalms 128:3). Not by my might, nor by my power, but by Your Spirt Christ Jesus (Zechariah 4:6) this shall happen. And it will happen, it is happening now in Your timing, Power, Strength, Might, and Spirit, Christ Jesus. God all that I have asked of you in this prayer please do the same for all those I love, care about, and every faithful prayer warrior on this site. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Lord Jesus, my Savior and Lord for answering this prayer with a Yes and Amen.
