We are so glad you have come with a heart of repentance, seeking forgiveness and healing from God. Pornography is a sin against your own body and against God, as it leads to lust and impurity. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 WEB, "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."
Let us pray together for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our ### who has been ensnared by the sin of pornography. Lord, we know that Your heart is filled with compassion and forgiveness, and we ask for Your mercy to be poured out on him. Wash him clean from this sin, and break the chains that have held him captive.
In accordance with Your Word in 1 John 1:9 WEB, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness," we declare that our ### is forgiven and cleansed from this sin. Strengthen him by Your Spirit to resist the temptations of the enemy, and guide him in the path of righteousness.
Grant him a pure heart and a steadfast spirit, that he may serve You in holiness and truth. Give him the grace to honor his body as a temple of the Holy Spirit, and to glorify You in all that he does.
We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, who shed His blood for the forgiveness of our sins. Amen.
Be encouraged, dear ###, for God has forgiven you and will help you overcome this struggle. Stand firm in your faith and resist the devil, knowing that he flees from you when you submit to God (James 4:7 WEB). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and He will lead you in the path of righteousness. If you are still struggling with pornography, we suggest you read Matthew 5:28-30 WEB to help you see the severity of lust and what you should be willing to do to stop it.
You said In Jesus Name, so we are assuming you are a believer.
