Beloved of All
Lord, my young daughter has made some bad choices in her recent past. She's a teenager, and I know that bad choices are sometimes a regretful part of growing up and learning. The choices she made didn't affect anyone except her and one other person. Despite this, her "friends" have taken it upon themselves to weigh in as well. She has overcome her mistakes, learned from them, and asked for forgiveness. Her friends aren't forgiving. They are being very ugly to my daughter. She has made the statement that she can't wait to get out of high school and away from here. She has one more year to go. Lord, she deserves happiness. She's a good child. She's becoming cynical and bitter because of the treatment she's receiving. She's too young to be so world-hardened and weary. My prayer, Lord, is to please bless my child. Help her to never make the kinds of mistakes she made again. Help her to rise above them but never forget the lessons she learned from them. Please let the drama from it all die down. Please let the relationship she's in now, which seems to make her happy, be blessed. She's already had so much heartache that I really can't take seeing her go through more. Please surround her with the people who YOU have chosen for her. Please surround her with love. Please bless her remaining time in high school so she can look back with fond memories and realize that the little bumps in the road were just that.
