Forgiveness + Second Chance

Lord, I come before you as your child who has sinned and desperately needs your forgiveness. I know I don't deserve it, but I do know you are a merciful God full of grace, and willing to forgive our sins when we confess them. So I confess them before You and my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ on this site.

I messed up, and as a result I lost two relationships that meant a lot to me. Lord, would you please not only forgive my sins, but also give me a new start? Cleanse me of my sin and shame in both your eyes and my own. Please give me another chance with a relationship. I've learned my lesson from the school of hard knocks. I'm more determined than ever before to do things Your way if you would just give me the chance. So please, give me a good new relationship that can be far better and longer lasting than any relationship I've had before. Do not let my dreams of having a family be in vain.

You know how my heart longs for this, so please be merciful to me God. You gave many people in the Bible second chances. I feel especially like Jonah right now stuck in a whale of guilt and shame...and I feel like Peter after denying Christ when He promised not to. But You gave both of them second chances. Please do the same for me.
