Forgiveness of sins of smoking, wrath, and lust

Bweirser

Disciple of Prayer
Dear Lord, my father in Heaven

I humbly ask for forgiveness as I masturbated yesterday. It's my fault as I have not prayed for a few days, that's why I became weak and fell into sin. I'm afraid of the consequences of my sin, but I know that you are slow to anger and fast to forgive. Lord, Please forgive me and I don't want to face the consequences of my sin, help me strengthen my faith in you my Lord and God. Please allow your presence in my spirit so I can feel you. Also, Please help me with my debts, my father.

All of this I ask in the name of your son, Jesus Christ our Lord and savior, Amen.

We hear your cry for forgiveness and restoration, and we join with you in humbly coming before the throne of grace. Your honesty about your struggles with lust, masturbation, and the fear of consequences is a courageous step toward healing. The Word of God assures us, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). Your repentance is not in vain—God’s mercy is greater than any sin, and His grace is sufficient to lift you from this place of weakness.

Yet we must address the sin of masturbation with clarity, for it is often rooted in lust and self-gratification, which Scripture warns against. Jesus said, *"But I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart"* (Matthew 5:28). While this struggle is common, it is not harmless—it feeds the flesh rather than the spirit, and it can become a stronghold if left unchecked. We must rebuke the spirit of lust in the name of Jesus, for it seeks to enslave and separate you from the fullness of God’s presence. You are not powerless, for *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it"* (1 Corinthians 10:13).

Your fear of consequences is understandable, but we must remind you that while God disciplines those He loves (Hebrews 12:6), His discipline is not meant to destroy but to restore. Do not let shame keep you from running to Him—He already knows your heart, and He calls you to walk in freedom. The enemy would have you believe that you are too far gone, but we declare over you that *"there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit"* (Romans 8:1). Your identity is not in your failures but in Christ, who has already paid the price for your sins.

We also lift up your financial burdens, for debt can weigh heavily on the soul. The Lord is your provider, and He invites you to cast your cares upon Him (1 Peter 5:7). However, we must encourage you to seek wisdom in stewardship, for *"the borrower is servant to the lender"* (Proverbs 22:7). Trust God to open doors of provision, but also commit to living within your means, seeking counsel, and honoring Him with your finances.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts heavy with conviction yet hopeful in Your mercy. We thank You for Your Son, Jesus Christ, through whose blood we have forgiveness and access to Your throne. Lord, we ask that You cleanse our brother from the sin of lust and masturbation. Break every chain of bondage, and fill him with Your Holy Spirit so that he may walk in purity and self-control. Strengthen his faith, Father, and let him feel Your presence like never before. Remind him that he is not defined by his struggles but by the finished work of Christ.

We rebuke the spirit of fear and shame in Jesus’ name, declaring that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, provide for his needs and give him wisdom to manage his finances according to Your will. Teach him to rely on You daily, for apart from You, we can do nothing (John 15:5). May he grow in discipline, drawing near to You through prayer, Scripture, and fellowship with believers who can encourage him in righteousness.

Father, we thank You for Your unfailing love. May our brother experience the peace that surpasses all understanding as he surrenders fully to You. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

You are not alone in this battle. We encourage you to immerse yourself in God’s Word, for *"Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path"* (Psalm 119:105). Find accountability with a trusted brother in Christ who can pray with you and hold you to godly standards. Replace the time spent in sin with time in worship, prayer, and service to others. The enemy will try to isolate you, but God calls you into community. Stand firm, for *"He who calls you is faithful, who will also do it"* (1 Thessalonians 5:24). You are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you (Romans 8:37).

We're here with you, praying for your heart's healing and restoration. We understand the weight of your struggles with lust and masturbation, and we want you to know that you're not alone. God's mercy is vast, and His grace is sufficient to lift you out of this place of weakness.

We've been reminded of 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Your honesty and repentance are a powerful step towards healing. God's forgiveness is not something to be feared, but rather, it's a gift to be embraced.

Let's also remember that God is our provider. He invites us to cast our cares upon Him (1 Peter 5:7). Trust Him with your financial burdens, and seek wisdom in managing your finances. God will provide, but we must also be responsible stewards of what He's given us.

Now, let's pray together:

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want you to know how deeply we have carried your heart before the Lord these past days. It has been our privilege to stand in agreement with you, asking our Heavenly Father to pour out His mercy and grace upon you. We prayed for the forgiveness of every sin that weighed on your spirit—lust, wrath, the chains of smoking, and the moment of weakness you confessed. We asked the Lord to wash you clean in the blood of Jesus, to quiet every fear of consequences, and to flood your heart with the assurance that His love is greater than your failings.

We also lifted up your debts, asking God to provide wisdom, open doors of opportunity, and grant you peace as you walk through that burden. Most of all, we prayed for His presence to fill you, for the Holy Spirit to strengthen your faith, and for Jesus to be so real to you that temptation loses its power. The enemy would love to keep you in shame, but we believe God is drawing you closer, reminding you that you are His beloved child.

If the Lord has already answered any part of your prayer—if you’ve felt His peace, seen His provision, or experienced His forgiveness—we would love to rejoice with you. Please share a praise report so we can give Him glory together. If the battle still feels heavy, know that we are not walking away. We will continue to pray, and we encourage you to post your request again so we can keep standing with you in faith.

May the Lord bless you with His nearness in this season. May you feel His arms around you, His voice speaking love over you, and His strength rising within you. Keep seeking Him—He is faithful, and He will not let you go. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
