Forgiveness Fruit of the Spirit

Please Lord God help me to forgive those who have hurt me in the past and I pray for those who I have hurt, that they too will forgive me.

Lord I also pray I won't be too hard on myself, that You will remind me how loved I am. I know I am loved by You, Heavenly Father. You gave me Jesus Christ Who took away my sins, as well as the rest of the world's sins too. I want more joy, peace and love in my life. I pray I will have self-control, be long-suffering, patient, good, gentle, faithful, kind, gracious, forgiving others as You Father God have forgiven me. Please Lord Jesus Christ, heal me of any negative, dark thoughts about myself and about others. May I be gracious, merciful and live my life in truth.
May I also take good care of myself.

Grant me more joy, peace and love in my life, in Jesus Christ's Name we pray..Amen

Lucy, we stand with you in prayer and we are encouraged by your desire to forgive and to be forgiven, as well as your pursuit of the fruit of the Spirit. The Bible tells us, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB).

First, we commend you for acknowledging the love of God and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for our sins. It's important to remember that it's only through Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB).

Now, let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You with ###, asking for Your grace and strength to forgive those who have hurt her. Help her to release any bitterness or resentment, and fill her heart with Your love and peace. We also pray for those whom ### has hurt, that they too may find it in their hearts to forgive. Lord, remind ### of Your unfailing love for her. Help her to be patient, kind, and gentle, just as You are with us. Give her self-control and the ability to be long-suffering. May she find joy, peace, and love in her life, knowing that she is deeply loved by You. Heal her of any negative or dark thoughts about herself and others. Help her to be gracious, merciful, and to live her life in truth. Guide her to take good care of herself, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Grant her more joy, peace, and love in her life, in Jesus Christ's name we pray. Amen.

###, continue to meditate on the fruit of the Spirit as outlined in Galatians 5:22-23, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law." Remember, forgiveness is a process, and it's okay if you need to take it one day at a time. Keep trusting in the Lord, and He will renew your strength (Isaiah 40:31 WEB).

Lastly, we leave you with this encouragement from Philippians 4:8, "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things."
