Amazing Grace
God’s grace sees your worst sin and still chooses to heal and restore you completely.
The Story of a Runaway Slave
God’s grace transforms even the worst sinner into a beloved brother, calling us to forgive and restore.
The Three Groups
Christ offers abundant life to all, and He calls you to receive it without delay.
We join with you in this honest confession before the Lord and we thank you for humbling yourself to seek His forgiveness and healing. The struggle with pornography is a serious sin against God and against your own body, for it is sexual immorality and lust of the heart. Jesus taught that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. Matthew 5:28. Scripture also commands us to flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18. We say this not to condemn you, for there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1, but to call it what God calls it so that you can fully turn from it and receive His complete forgiveness.

We notice your prayer says Lord but does not mention Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and receive forgiveness. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to place your full faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord, for it is His blood alone that cleanses us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9.

We are encouraged that God not only forgives but also heals and restores. He has promised to create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit within us. Psalm 51:10. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3. As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:12. In Christ you are a new creation and He is able to restore what sin has damaged. Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17.

We encourage you to walk in repentance with practical steps of obedience. Confess fully to God and consider confessing to a mature Christian brother or counselor for accountability, for we are told to confess our sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. James 5:16. Flee from every source of temptation, remove access, install filters, and guard your eyes and heart. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Romans 12:2 by daily filling your mind with Scripture and whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure. Philippians 4:8. Walk by the Spirit so you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Galatians 5:16.

We pray together for you now.

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We thank You for this dear one who has humbled himself to confess his sin with pornography. We ask You to forgive him completely through the blood of Jesus, to cleanse him from all unrighteousness, and to create in him a clean heart and renew a right spirit within him. Lord heal his mind, his heart, and his body from the effects of this sin, restore to him the joy of Your salvation, and strengthen him to flee sexual immorality and to walk in purity. Give him godly accountability, fill him with Your Holy Spirit, and teach him to set his mind on things that are pure and holy. Help him to walk in victory, not by his own strength but by Your grace, and to live for Your glory, whether You lead him to a godly marriage in the future or to serve You in singleness with a pure heart. We trust in Your mercy and Your power to restore. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Thank you for sharing this so plainly. We hear how much you want to be clean and whole again, and we are grateful you brought it to God so directly.

We want you to know you are not alone in this struggle, and bringing it into the light is a courageous step away from shame and toward healing. God's forgiveness is real when we confess, and His work of restoring us often happens as we walk it out day by day with Him and with others.

One thing that has helped many believers is not trying to fight this alone. Willpower by itself rarely brings lasting freedom. Having one safe, mature Christian person to be honest with regularly, whether a pastor, counselor, or a small recovery group, can provide the accountability and encouragement that makes a real difference. It gives you a place to be honest quickly when temptation comes instead of carrying it alone.

We are praying for you as you take those next steps, and we encourage you to reach out to a trusted pastor or Christian counselor if you have not yet, alongside prayer.

Father, thank You for Your mercy toward Your child who has come to You honestly. Forgive, cleanse, and strengthen him as he seeks You. Bring healing to his mind and heart, and surround him with trustworthy support. Lead him step by step into purity and peace, and help him know he is loved and not forsaken. In Jesus' name, Amen.

There is forgiveness with God, and your humble cry has been heard by Him with whom forgiveness lies. You have done well to come as that poor palsied man came, lying in the presence of Jesus, hoping and expecting both forgiveness and healing, for you have come to the right place. Where the offense went, from that very place the forgiveness comes, for there is forgiveness with God Himself.

Hear then what the Gospel says concerning the forgiveness itself. It is a divine forgiveness, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions. Were all men to hiss at you, their forgiveness would not be needed to enter heaven, but His is. It is a surprising forgiveness, so surprising that the Lord repeats, I, even I, as if amazed that such sin should be remitted, yet He does remit it. And it is a complete forgiveness. Suppose you call on your creditor and say, I have nothing to pay with. He answers, the tally is destroyed, the record of your debt is nailed to the Cross. So the Lord deals with the repenting and believing sinner. There are no conditions added, no limit drawn where God draws none. Do as Martin Luther did when his heart was in dark distress and his brother said to him, Do you not say, I believe in the forgiveness of sins? Now believe in the forgiveness of sins for yourself. However sinful your life has been up until now, there is forgiveness for you through Jesus Christ, the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God. And this forgiveness, once given, is eternal, for the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. He never plays fast and loose with men. He not only forgave at the first all your sins, but He continues daily to forgive, for the act of forgiveness is a continuous one in Christ.

And then comes healing, for first forgiveness, then healing is the order of the Lord. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, but even His leaves have healing virtue. They change the life blood, they affect the spirits and make the nature other than it was before. All individuals in every nation need this healing, and there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ to cleanse the eye that has looked upon evil, to purge the imagination, to renew the heart and to change the affections. What followed after that man's forgiveness was that he rose, took up his bed and walked, and so shall it be with you as you walk in newness of life.

And there is also perfect restoration. The Lord says, They shall be as though I had not cast them aside. Oh sweet word. Though sin has cast you down and defiled you, He will restore you so fully that you shall be as though you had not been cast aside at all.

Let us pray for you now. O Lord, forgive this repenting sinner for the sin of pornography which has offended against Thee. Blot out transgression for Christ's sake, and let the conscience know that the debt is forgiven and forgotten. Heal and restore, Lord Jesus, by Thy precious blood and by the healing leaves of Thy grace. Purify the heart, renew the mind, strengthen against temptation, and set the feet in the way of holiness and purity. Grant that knowing this forgiveness, he may fear Thee and walk humbly and watchfully before Thee all his days. Keep him now and to the end, for there is forgiveness with Thee, now, at this moment, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for forgiveness and healing has been heard, and your honest confession before the Lord is precious to Him. God does not turn away a humble and repentant heart, but draws near to forgive and to restore.

Scripture teaches that Christ Himself bore our sins, taking them to the Father not to condemn us but to obtain forgiveness for us. When we confess our sins, we are simply bringing before Him what He has already carried to the cross for our salvation. The blessing David spoke of belongs to you when you turn to Christ in faith, blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven and whose sins are covered. This forgiveness is not earned by our works but is given by grace through Jesus Christ alone, who alone is the way of salvation.

Healing from the habit of pornography is often a process, like medicine applied to a deep sickness. Do not be discouraged if the struggle has been long. The Lord is the true physician who does not abandon His patient, but continues to apply His healing treatment until health is restored. Even if you have heard the word many times and still struggled, keep listening and keep turning to Him, for God can bring forth fruit in due time and renew your strength. He is able to deliver you from this disease and restore you to wholeness.

God created sexuality as a good gift to be enjoyed within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. Pornography turns away from that good design and harms both soul and body, which is why turning from it is part of walking in His grace. Hearing alone is not enough for salvation, but hearing that leads to obedience, to purity of heart and life, and to trusting Christ daily. Bring this struggle into the light with trusted Christian community, stay rooted in Scripture and prayer, and put practical guards in place to avoid what tempts you, such as removing access and seeking accountability.

We pray for you now. Lord Jesus, forgive this sin as it is confessed before You. Cover it by Your blood and remember it no more. Heal the wounds it has left, cleanse the mind and heart, and restore strength and purity. Fill this life with Your Spirit, with light where there was darkness, and with the joy of adoption as Your child. Grant perseverance to walk in Your ways and to know the hope of Your kingdom. May you know fully that you are forgiven, loved, and being made new in Christ.
