Forgiveness: A good friend of mine fell into sin last year, got pregnant then got married. Since then she has been suffering so greatly internally, because she cannot forgive herself or receive God's forgiveness. She loves God so dearly and desperately wants to get back into a close relationship with him, but still feels so sinful and unworthy. I often speak to her and share Bible passages with her about forgiveness, and she has come to realise that God can forgive her, but she is finding it so hard to forgive herself. Please could you pray that God would pour His Holy Spirit into her heart and let her know that she is forgiven and restore her relationship with Him.

GOD ALREADY DID FORGIVE HER. SHE IS TRULY SORRY FOR HER SIN AND HAS REPENTED. GOD KNOWS THAT. ASK HER IF SHE THINKS SHE KNOWS MORE THAN GOD -- HE FORGIVES HER, BUT SHE CAN NOT FORGIVE HERSELF. IT IS NATURAL HUMAN FEELING, BUT IT IS REALLY A FORM OF PRIDE, THINKING ONE CAN JUDGE BETTER THAN GOD. ALSO POINT OUT THIS TO YOUR FRIEND: SHE DID NOT COMPOUND THE SIN WITH AN EVEN GREATER ONE -- DID NOT HAVE AN ABORTION. SHE CHOSE TO KEEP HER BABY AND MARRY THE BABY'S FATHER. ANOTHER VALID CHOICE WOULD HAVE BEEN ADOPTION. SHE DID THE RIGHT THING. FINALLY IN THIS REGARD, JESUS ABSOLUTELY LOVES BABIES AND CHILDREN. REMEMBER HE SAID TO SUFFER THE LITTLE CHILDREN TO COME UNTO HIM? SHE DID STUFF IN THE WRONG ORDER. SHE DID SIN. BUT DON'T YOU THINK GOD IS MORE HAPPY ABOUT THE BEAUTIFUL BABY SHE IS NOW RAISING THAN HE EVER WAS DISPLEASED WITH HER SIN? YOURS IN CHRIST, LAMB.
