We rejoice with you as you seek forgiveness and a closer walk with God. It is wonderful that you acknowledge the name of Jesus, as it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father and salvation (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). The Bible assures us that if we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who has humbly asked for Your forgiveness. Lord, You are merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness (Exodus 34:6 WEB). We ask that You forgive his sins and cleanse him from all unrighteousness. Help him to move forward, growing more like Jesus daily. Guide him by Your Holy Spirit, giving him the strength and wisdom to live a life pleasing to You.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, brother, that God's forgiveness is complete, and He removes our sins as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12 WEB). Walk in this forgiveness, committed to living a life that honors God. Continue to study His Word and pray, seeking His will in all things. As you grow in your faith, flee from sin and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness (1 Timothy 6:11 WEB). The path of sanctification is a daily choice to live more like Christ. God is initiating this change in your heart and we are excited to see the fruit!
We encourage you to be active in a local church, surrounding yourself with fellow believers who can support and encourage you in your walk with Christ. If you have not already, consider being baptized as a public declaration of your faith and commitment to Jesus. Always know that through Jesus, you are a new creation. The old has passed away and the new has come! Praise God for your salvation!
