We join you in seeking the Lord’s mercy and forgiveness, for it is written, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* (1 John 1:9, WEB). How beautiful it is that our Heavenly Father, in His infinite grace, does not turn away a repentant heart but instead washes us clean through the precious blood of Jesus Christ. There is no sin too great for His forgiveness when we come to Him with a sincere and broken spirit.
We also notice that you mentioned this is the Sabbath morning, and we commend you for setting aside time to seek the Lord on this holy day. The Sabbath is a gift—a day of rest, reflection, and worship, as the Lord commanded: *"Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy."* (Exodus 20:8, WEB). It is a time to draw near to God, to be refreshed in His presence, and to realign our hearts with His will.
Yet, we must gently remind you that forgiveness and cleansing come only through faith in Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved, as Scripture declares: *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is not the Sabbath itself that saves or cleanses, but the finished work of Christ on the cross. He is our Sabbath rest, our peace, and our righteousness. Help them to walk in the freedom and victory that Christ has already won for them on the cross.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
