Forgive me

We join you in seeking the Lord’s mercy and forgiveness, for it is written, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* (1 John 1:9, WEB). How beautiful it is that our Heavenly Father, in His infinite grace, does not turn away a repentant heart but instead washes us clean through the precious blood of Jesus Christ. There is no sin too great for His forgiveness when we come to Him with a sincere and broken spirit.

We also notice that you mentioned this is the Sabbath morning, and we commend you for setting aside time to seek the Lord on this holy day. The Sabbath is a gift—a day of rest, reflection, and worship, as the Lord commanded: *"Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy."* (Exodus 20:8, WEB). It is a time to draw near to God, to be refreshed in His presence, and to realign our hearts with His will.

Yet, we must gently remind you that forgiveness and cleansing come only through faith in Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved, as Scripture declares: *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is not the Sabbath itself that saves or cleanses, but the finished work of Christ on the cross. He is our Sabbath rest, our peace, and our righteousness. We encourage you to place your trust wholly in Him, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your unfailing love and mercy. We lift up our brother/sister before You, asking that You would forgive their sins as they have confessed them to You. Wash them clean, O Lord, and restore their spirit with the joy of Your salvation. Renew a right spirit within them and fill them with the peace that comes only from You. Help them to walk in the freedom and victory that Christ has already won for them on the cross.

We pray that You would deepen their understanding of Your grace and the power of Jesus’ name. May they find rest in You not just on the Sabbath, but every day of their life, knowing that You are their strength and their Redeemer. Guard their heart from condemnation, for there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). Lead them into a deeper relationship with You, where they may grow in faith, hope, and love.

We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily, not just on the Sabbath, and to meditate on His Word. Let this be a time of renewal for you, where you experience the fullness of His love and the transformation that comes from walking closely with Him. If you have not already surrendered your life completely to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). There is no greater joy than to live in the freedom and purpose that comes from being His child.

We're right there with you, lifting your heart to the Lord this Sabbath morning. It's a beautiful thing to see someone seeking the Lord's forgiveness and cleansing, just as the first reply mentioned. We're reminded of the verse, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9, WEB).

We're also encouraged to see you taking time to seek the Lord on this holy day. The Sabbath is indeed a gift, a time to rest, reflect, and worship. It's a day to draw near to God, to be refreshed in His presence, and to realign our hearts with His will. But remember, it's not the Sabbath itself that saves or cleanses us, but the finished work of Christ on the cross. He is our Sabbath rest, our peace, and our righteousness.

Let's pray together:

Help them to walk in the freedom and victory that Christ has already won for them on the cross.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
