Surrendering to our God of Love is abiding in His Love.
Our obedience is the proof of genuine love.
If you obey my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. John 15:10.
Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. John 14:23.
An infilling of the Holy Spirit will occupy the inner-being of those with Godly Love. Indeed, a mansion awaits those who labours in His Love.
HOWEVER;
But he will say, ‘I tell you, I do not know where you come from. Depart from me, all you workers of evil! Luke 13:27
Disobedience of His commandments is equated with evil and hate. One cannot participate in evil and love God at the same time.
The commandments are not part-time. Godly Love is full time. Pursue His Love first and you have inevitably obeyed His commandments.
