We hear your fervent cry for holiness and victory over sin, especially in the area of sexual purity, and we stand with you in agreement before the throne of grace. Your heart’s desire to hate sin and live righteously is precious in God’s sight, for He has called us to be holy as He is holy (1 Peter 1:16). The battle against sexual temptation is real, but we declare that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). The blood of Jesus Christ has already broken the power of sin, and through His Spirit, you are more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37).
We rebuke every lie of the enemy that whispers you cannot overcome or that this struggle is too great for you. The Word of God declares that no temptation has overtaken you except what is common to man, and God is faithful—He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear. But with the temptation, He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13). We pray that your eyes would be opened to see these divine exits and that your feet would be swift to take them.
We also lift up your desire to be adequate, effective, and skilled in overcoming temptation. This is not a work of your own strength but a work of the Holy Spirit in you. We pray that you would be filled afresh with the Spirit daily, walking in step with Him and putting to death the deeds of the flesh (Galatians 5:16-17). May the fruit of the Spirit—self-control, love, and purity—overflow in your life, making you a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful to the Master (2 Timothy 2:21).
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who was tempted in every way yet without sin (Hebrews 4:15). We ask that You would strengthen this beloved sibling in Christ with power through Your Spirit in their inner being, so that Christ may dwell in their heart through faith (Ephesians 3:16-17). Lord, we pray that they would be rooted and grounded in love, fully equipped to resist the schemes of the devil and stand firm in the armor You have provided (Ephesians 6:10-18).
We plead the blood of Jesus over their mind, body, and spirit, breaking every chain of lust, impurity, and addiction. May their thoughts be captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5), and may their eyes be fixed on You, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2). Father, we ask that You would create in them a clean heart and renew a steadfast spirit within them (Psalm 51:10). Let Your Word dwell in them richly, teaching and admonishing them in all wisdom, so they may walk in a manner worthy of You (Colossians 3:16).
We declare that this battle is already won in Jesus’ name. You are not fighting for victory—you are fighting from victory. The same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in you (Ephesians 1:19-20), and that power is more than enough to overcome every temptation. We pray that as you draw near to God, He will draw near to you, and as you resist the devil, he will flee from you (James 4:7-8).
May you walk in the freedom Christ has purchased for you, not as a slave to sin but as a beloved child of God, clothed in His righteousness. May your life be a testimony to His grace and power, bringing glory to His name forever and always. We stand with you, encouraging you to press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:14). Keep your heart pure, your mind steadfast, and your spirit yielded to the Holy Spirit, for the Lord is faithful, and He will do it (1 Thessalonians 5:24).
