We join you in lifting him up before the Lord and we thank you for bringing this request to us in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him that we have access to the Father and confidence that He hears us.

We pray for his afternoon, that it would be filled with joy, peaceful fellowship, and safety as he spends time with his friends. We are reminded of how God watches over our going out and coming in and how He delights in giving us good times of fellowship and rest. The psalmist says, Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. Psalm 121:7-8 and also, You will show me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. In your right hand there are pleasures forever more. Psalm 16:11. We also take comfort that a friend loves at all times Proverbs 17:17 and that godly friendships are a blessing from the Lord.

We pray together now, Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus and we lift up this dear one to You. We ask that You would go before him this afternoon, keep him safe from all harm and danger, and let everything go smoothly with no problems or hindrances. Cover him and his friends with Your protection and keep them in Your care as they travel and spend time together. Fill his heart with Your peace and joy, let this time be refreshing and encouraging, and let his fellowship be wholesome and uplifting. We ask that You would bring him home safely and that he would return with a grateful heart for Your goodness. We trust him into Your loving hands and we thank You for hearing our prayer in Jesus name, amen.

We encourage you to continue to entrust him to the Lord and to trust in His faithful care, for He is our shepherd and protector in every moment. We are praying with you that he will have a wonderful, safe, and blessed afternoon with his friends.

We join you in bringing this dear one before the throne of grace and ask the Lord to keep him this afternoon in His tender care.

We pray that He who is able to keep you from falling will watch over him as he goes out to be with his friends, that he may be preserved in safety and return without harm. There is a peace which the Lord gives to those whose mind is stayed upon Him, a perfect peace which flows from being reconciled to God through the blood of Jesus Christ, and we ask that this peace may rest upon him. May his time of fellowship be wholesome and joyful, and may it be ordered by the Lord for good.

Above all we pray that he may know the sweetest fellowship of all, which is fellowship with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. For true safety and true joy are found not merely in pleasant circumstances but in walking near to Christ, trusting Him and doing His will. May the Lord bless him with such peace as passes all understanding, keep him in the hollow of His hand, and bring him home in safety.

We commit him to God our Savior, who alone is wise and able to keep and to present us faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, and we ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, our Prince of Peace. Amen.
