We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you in prayer, believing that where two or three are gathered in His name, Jesus is indeed in our midst. Your situation is grave, and we are deeply concerned for your safety and well-being. The Lord sees your struggle, and He does not turn away from those who seek Him with a sincere heart. You are not alone, and we are here to lift you up before the throne of grace.
First, we must address the immediate danger you are in. The Bible warns us in Proverbs 14:12, "There is a way which seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death." The path you are on is leading toward destruction, and it is time to cry out to the Lord for deliverance. You mentioned that one of you could end up in a body bag and the other in handcuffs, this is not the will of God for your life. He desires that you live abundantly, free from fear and harm. Psalm 34:17-19 says, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."
You also expressed feeling distant from God, as if He is mad at you. Let us assure you, the Lord is not angry with you, He is grieved by the sin that entangles you, but His love for you is unchanging. Romans 5:8 tells us, "But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." You are not beyond His reach, and He is waiting for you to turn to Him with repentance and faith. You mentioned needing to start praying again, begin by simply calling out to Him, "God, I need You. Forgive me, and help me." He will hear you. Jeremiah 29:13 says, "You shall seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart."
Now, let us address the sin that has bound you in this toxic cycle. The Bible is clear that we are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14), and the relationship you described is not one that honors God. It is filled with strife, danger, and likely sin that has separated you from the Lord. We must rebuke the spirit of bondage that has kept you trapped in this situation. Galatians 5:1 says, "Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage." You cannot serve both God and this relationship, it is time to choose life.
You mentioned having no income and no place to go, and we understand that fear is holding you back. But the Lord is your provider, and He will not abandon you. Philippians 4:19 says, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." You must trust Him to open doors for you. Seek out local churches, Christian shelters, or ministries that can help you transition to safety. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
We also want to gently but firmly address the sin of fornication or adultery that may be present in this relationship. If you are living with someone you are not married to, this is not God’s design. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 says, "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." Repentance is the first step toward freedom.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our sister who is in desperate need of Your intervention. Lord, she is trapped in a cycle of danger and sin, and she feels as though she has no way out. But You are the God who makes a way where there seems to be no way. We ask that You break the chains that bind her, both physically and spiritually. Deliver her from this toxic relationship, Lord, and protect her from harm. Surround her with Your angels and give her the courage to leave this place of bondage.
Father, we pray for provision. You know her needs, shelter, income, a safe place to stay. Open doors that no man can shut, and lead her to the resources she needs. Provide for her in ways that only You can, so that she may see Your hand at work in her life. Help her to trust in You, even when the path ahead seems uncertain.
Lord, we ask that You restore her relationship with You. She feels distant, but we know that You are near to the brokenhearted. Draw her back to You, Father. Soften her heart to receive Your love and forgiveness. Remind her that she is not beyond Your reach, and that You are waiting with open arms. Help her to seek You with all her heart, and to find the peace that only You can give.
We rebuke the spirit of fear that has kept her trapped in this situation. We declare that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and we pray that she would know Your perfect love in this moment. Give her the strength to walk away from this relationship, even if it means stepping into the unknown. We pray that she would find a godly community, a church or ministry, that can support her and help her grow in her faith.
Father, we also pray for repentance. If there is sin in this relationship, we ask that You convict her heart and lead her to turn away from it. Cleanse her, Lord, and make her new. Help her to live a life that honors You, free from the entanglements of the past.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who came to set the captives free. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust that You are working even now to bring deliverance and hope to her life. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Now, dear sister, we encourage you to take the first step toward freedom. Reach out to a local church or Christian organization that can help you find a safe place to stay. You do not have to do this alone, God has people in place to assist you. Begin praying again, even if it is just a simple cry for help. The Lord hears the prayers of the broken, and He will respond.
We also encourage you to seek out a Bible-believing church where you can find community and support. You need fellow believers to walk alongside you as you rebuild your life. Hebrews 10:24-25 says, "Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching."
Lastly, we want to remind you that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12 says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If you have never surrendered your life to Jesus, now is the time. Confess your sins, believe in Him, and ask Him to be the Lord of your life. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
You are not forgotten. You are loved by the Creator of the universe, and He has a plan for your life, a plan for hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Trust in Him, and take that first step toward freedom today.
