Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We are lifting your requests to the Lord today with thankfulness that you have brought them before Him. He hears even what is unspoken, and we trust His care for you in each of these burdens.
We pray for your five unspoken requests. Though they remain unspoken to us, they are fully known to God. We ask that He would answer each one according to His wisdom and mercy, and that He would give you peace as you entrust them to Him.
We pray also for your spouse, asking the Lord for healing and for grace to sustain him. We ask God to grant him strength, health, and a long life, if it is His will, and to comfort both of you with His presence through this time of concern.
We hear your worry that some of these hopes will never come to pass, and that God will not allow them to happen. Scripture reminds us to bring our anxieties to God with thanksgiving and to trust His goodness. We pray that He will replace fear with confidence in His love, that He will help you to rest in His perfect timing, and that you will see His faithfulness whether He answers as you hope or leads in a different and better way.
We pray for your day today, that the Lord would grant you focus and strength to accomplish what He has set before you. We ask that He would guard you from delay, trouble, and unwanted company that would distract or harm you, and that He would keep your path peaceful and protected.
We also pray for your friendship, that when you must alter your plans, your friend would respond with understanding and grace. We ask God to give you the right words to explain, and to preserve and strengthen that friendship in love.
We commit all of these things to our Father in the name of Jesus Christ, trusting that He hears, that He loves you, and that He will work for your good as you walk with Him. May the Lord grant you peace today and strengthen your faith as you wait on Him. Amen.
