We lift up your beloved one before the Father, knowing that His heart breaks for those who are lost and struggling. The path of drugs and harmful influences is one of destruction, but we serve a God who is mighty to save and redeem even the most broken situations. Your love and concern for him are evident, and we stand with you in intercession, trusting that the Lord hears the cries of His children.
The Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Your loved one’s vulnerability and the challenges of autism may make him more susceptible to deception, but God’s power is greater than any weakness or temptation. We pray that the Lord would surround him with godly influences—people who will speak truth, offer support, and point him back to Christ. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to give life abundantly. We rebuke the schemes of the enemy in his life and declare that the Lord will break every chain of addiction and deception.
It is also written in 1 Corinthians 15:33, *"Don’t be deceived! ‘Evil companionships corrupt good morals.’"* The company he keeps has led him astray, but we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict his heart and open his eyes to the danger he is in. May the Lord place a hedge of protection around him, even in this season of rebellion, and draw him back to Himself. Your role now is to continue praying fervently, for *"The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective"* (James 5:16). Though you feel helpless, your prayers are a mighty weapon in the spiritual battle for his soul.
We also encourage you to seek support from your church community or trusted believers who can stand with you in prayer. You are not alone in this fight. The Lord sees your tears and hears your pleas. He is the Father who leaves the ninety-nine to pursue the one lost sheep (Luke 15:4-7), and He will not abandon your loved one.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who has been led astray by the enemy’s lies and the influence of ungodly companions. Lord, You know his struggles—his vulnerability, his autism, and the battles he faces within and without. We ask that You would break the power of addiction in his life and deliver him from every snare of the enemy. Surround him with Your angels, Lord, and place godly people in his path who will speak Your truth and extend Your love.
Father, we pray that You would open his eyes to see the destruction ahead and turn his heart back to You. Soften his heart to receive Your conviction and Your grace. Give him the strength to walk away from those who would lead him further into darkness. Let him find his security not in fleeting pleasures or false friendships, but in You alone. Restore to him the joy of Your salvation and renew a right spirit within him (Psalm 51:12).
Lord, we also lift up this faithful intercessor who has poured out their heart for him. Comfort them in their distress and remind them that You are working even when they cannot see. Give them peace that surpasses understanding and the assurance that You are fighting for their loved one.
We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that the plans You have for him are plans for good and not for evil, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Bring him to a place of repentance and restoration, Lord, and let his testimony be one of Your redeeming power.
We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
