Confession and Pardon
True happiness comes from God’s forgiveness, so we must confess our sins and seek His pardon now.
Conditions of Pardon
True confession means quitting sin and God will forgive and cleanse anyone who turns to Him.
The Burning Books
Destroy harmful influences in your life and commit to purity in what you read and see.
We rejoice with you for sharing this good news and for pointing those who are searching to the only way of salvation. We agree that this is the most important message anyone can hear and we thank God for your heart to see others saved.

You have quoted Romans 10:9-10 which declares that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation. We gently clarify the wording there so that all who read may understand clearly that it is confession with the mouth that Jesus is Lord and belief in the heart in His resurrection. We also affirm what you said about confessing and turning from sins, for true faith includes repentance. As it is written in Acts 3:19, Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, and in 1 John 1:9, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. There is no other name by which we can be saved, for it is written in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Jesus himself said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And we are reminded in Ephesians 2:8-9, for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. Yet the faith that saves is a living faith that follows and obeys Jesus, taking up our cross daily and walking in newness of life as taught in Luke 9:23 and 2 Corinthians 5:17.

We fully agree with your encouragement to read and study Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, beginning in the Gospel of John. In John we meet Jesus as the Word made flesh, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world, and we read the promise of John 3:16, For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. As Jesus said in John 8:31-32, If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.

We join together and pray for every person who is looking for salvation and reading these words. Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, and we ask that you draw each searching heart to yourself. Open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, grant them godly sorrow that leads to repentance, and give them faith to confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and to believe in their heart that you raised Him from the dead. Forgive their sins, cleanse them from all unrighteousness, and make them new creations in Christ. Fill them with your Holy Spirit and give them hunger for your Word, especially the Gospels, that they may know Jesus, follow Him, and obey Him all the days of their lives. Lead them to fellowship with other believers who will help them grow in truth and grace. We ask this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We appreciate you sharing your heart for those who are searching. It is clear you want others to experience the forgiveness and new life you have found, and we join you in that hope.

We love that you pointed people to start in John. That book gives such a clear picture of who Jesus is and what it means to walk with Him day by day. Salvation is not only about a future hope, it is God making us whole and giving us a new way to live now, learning to trust Him and grow in grace over time.

For anyone reading this who is exploring faith, a simple next step can be to set aside a few minutes each day to read a chapter of John, talk honestly with God as you read, and connect with a faithful local church where you can ask questions and be supported. If you already know someone who follows Jesus, inviting them to read along with you can help too.

Father, we thank You for Your mercy and for the gift of salvation through Jesus. We pray for each person who is seeking You today, that You would give them clarity, draw them close, and surround them with people who will walk with them faithfully. Help us all to keep growing in knowing You. In Jesus' name, amen.

(Article thank you for the scripture and correct wording.)

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

““But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

The word you have shared is the very gate of life, and we rejoice that you have set it before those who are seeking the Lord. The scripture is true, If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

There is a due order here which we must not put asunder, for God hath joined them together. Faith comes first, and confession follows. The way of salvation is simply this, trust Jesus Christ, that is believing with the heart. We rest upon Jesus Christ crucified and not upon our faith, our repentance, our prayers or our works. We look right away from anything that comes from us and look to Jesus, who is all our salvation, the Author and the Finisher of faith. The least faith in Jesus is true faith, and the weakest faith is real faith, for if thou believest that Jesus is the Christ thou art born of God. Great faith takes Jesus only as her basis, and little faith, though it tremble, if it begins and ends with Jesus, is precious in the sight of God.

And that faith is never alone, for repentance and faith are inseparable, yea, they come into the soul together. No faith can be genuine but such as is consistent with repentance for past sin, and no repentance is true but that which consorts with faith. True repentance is not a carnal regret that the judgment has come, but a holy work wrought in the renewed heart by the Holy Spirit, which gives God glory. It loathes sin because sin is hateful to the heart of Jesus, and it sets the sinner ever afterwards craving after holiness. Do not think you must be perfect in repentance before you are saved. There are degrees of repentance as there are degrees of faith, and the least repentance will save the soul if it is sincere, when the heart turns from sin to Christ and rejoices in Jesus crucified as the propitiation for sin.

Therefore do as the scripture saith. Believe with the heart unto righteousness, and then with the mouth make confession unto salvation. That which you privately and personally rest upon for salvation, you are to publicly and emphatically avow to others as the ground of your confidence. This confession is personal. Your faith must be your own faith, your repentance the repentance of your own sin, your coming to Christ your own coming. And having believed, obedience becomes the gracious fruit. Faith and fear together lead the soul to do as God commands, for sincere faith treats all God's Word alike and delights to follow and obey Jesus.

Your counsel to read and study Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, beginning in the book of John, is wise and good. There you will see Christ set forth, that you may believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and that believing you might have life through his name. Continue in that Word daily, asking the Holy Spirit to work faith more simply and childlike in you, for simple faith is always the work of the Spirit, and He ever points us to Jesus.

We pray for all who are looking for salvation now, that the Lord would grant them that faith which trusts Christ alone, that repentance which needs not to be repented of, and that open confession which glorifies God. May they look to the cross and find that it begets both repentance and faith, and may they be led to confess Christ before men and to walk in newness of life, to the praise of His mercy. Amen.
