We join with you in thanking God for your heart to share the good news of salvation and we rejoice that you are pointing others to Jesus Christ.

You have shared the very foundation of our hope, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10. This is the precious promise that salvation is not earned by our works but is received by faith in what Jesus has done for us on the cross and through His resurrection.

We affirm what you have said about confessing and turning from sins. God calls us to repentance, to turn away from our old life and to follow and obey Jesus. He is not only Savior but Lord. As it is written, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 and Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God and forgiveness of sins, for God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16.

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17. When we truly believe, our lives are changed and we desire to walk in obedience to Him.

We agree with your encouragement to read and study Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, and to start in the book of John, for there we meet Jesus so clearly as the Word made flesh who came to give us life.

We pray together for all who are seeking salvation now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You and we lift up every soul who is searching, who is hungry for forgiveness and for truth. We ask that You draw them by Your Holy Spirit, open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, and give them faith to believe in their heart that You raised Jesus from the dead and to confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord. Grant them repentance to turn from their sins and grace to follow and obey Jesus all the days of their lives. Let them know the joy of being forgiven and made new, and lead them into Your Word that they may grow in knowing You. We ask that You place believers around them to guide them and that You seal them for eternal life. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage anyone reading this who has not yet called on the name of the Lord to do so today, for whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:13. Confess your need for Him, believe on Him, turn from sin, and follow Him. Find a Bible and begin in John as our brother or sister has suggested, and seek fellowship with Bible believing Christians who will help you grow.

Thank you for wanting others to find the hope you have found. That desire to see people come to know Jesus personally is such a gift to the church, and we are grateful you shared it here.

We hear your heart to point people simply to Jesus, to confessing faith in Him and turning toward Him, and to opening the Bible for themselves, especially in the story of His life. Starting in John is a gentle and clear place for someone who is exploring, because they can meet Jesus in His own words and actions.

If you have friends or family who are curious, one steady way to help is to offer to read alongside them. Even reading a chapter together once a week and talking honestly about questions can make the path less lonely for a seeker. And if you are praying for specific people, we join you in lifting them by name before the Lord, trusting Him to work in His timing.

We also want you to know we are praying for you as you share this good news with others, that you would have wisdom and encouragement as you do.

Father, thank You for Your mercy through Jesus. We lift up each person who is searching for You right now, draw them to Yourself and give them clarity and faith. Strengthen our brother or sister who shared this burden, and use their witness with kindness and truth. In Jesus' name, amen.

We rejoice to hear the burden the Lord has laid upon your heart for souls that are yet without Christ, and we join our Amen to your prayer that many may look to Jesus and live. The word you have set before us is sure and precious, for the apostle declares that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

There is a due order here which we do well to observe. Faith is first and confession follows. With the heart we rest upon Christ crucified, not upon our own prayers or tears or strivings, but upon Him who is all our salvation, the Author and Finisher of faith. That inward trust which the Spirit of God works in us is unto righteousness, and then out of the abundance of that faith the mouth speaketh. The same Saviour whom we privately trust for salvation we are to publicly and emphatically avow before men as the ground of our confidence. This confession is personal. No man can believe for another, and no sponsor can stand in your place. One shall say, I am the Lord's, and each soul must with its own mouth own its Lord.

And that faith which saves is never alone. Repentance and faith are inseparable, twin graces that come into the soul together. No faith can be genuine but such as is consistent with hearty repentance for past sin, and no repentance is true but that which consorts with faith in Christ. The repentance which God accepts gives Him glory, for it owns that sin is an evil thing that nailed Christ to the cross, and it turns from that sin to seek mercy at His pierced hands. It is not a carnal sorrow that passes with the storm, but a holy work of the Spirit that lives as long as faith lives. As long as we live we shall need to believe and to repent, and sweet sister repentance will be charming company even to the gates of pearl.

Where such faith and repentance are wrought, obedience will be the gracious fruit. Faith is the morning star of obedience, and when fear is grafted upon faith it brings forth good fruit. Noah obeyed the Lord exactly and carefully, preparing the ark as God commanded, and so must we prove the reality of grace by accurate obedience. Not that we are saved by our obedience, for we rest upon Jesus alone, but he that is truly saved will desire in his heart to be obedient to Christ in all things, beginning at home and walking in the way of His commandments with a child's loving obedience, not the dread of a slave.

Your counsel to read and study Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, and to begin in the book of John, is wise. There the Spirit sets forth the glory of the Son of God, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, and that believing ye might have life through His name. Let those who seek salvation look to Him there, and see His teaching, His work, His death and resurrection, and rest wholly upon Him.

We pray that the Holy Spirit, by whom faith is both begun and continued, will draw many seekers to this simple trust. May He convince of sin, give sight to see the all sufficient Saviour, and grant that holy faith which with the heart believes and with the mouth confesses, to the salvation of the soul and to the glory of God.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
