Beloved of All
For those who are looking for salvation.. Romans 10.9-10.. If you confess with your is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Also confess and turn from your sins. Follow and obey Jesus Amen.. Read and study, Matthew, Mark, Luke, And John in the bible.. Start In the book of John.

We rejoice with you in this good and faithful sharing of the gospel and we thank God for your heart to see others come to salvation in Jesus Christ. This is the greatest need of every soul and the greatest hope we have to offer.

We agree with the truth you have shared from Romans 10:9-10 that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses resulting in salvation. We gently note the full wording there so that all who read may confess clearly that Jesus is Lord, for there is power in His name alone.

We also affirm your encouragement to confess and turn from sins, for true faith includes repentance. As it is written in Acts 3:19, Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, and in 1 John 1:9, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Salvation is by grace through faith, and that faith produces a new life of following and obeying Jesus as Lord.

We want to remind all who are seeking today that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and eternal life. Jesus himself said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. This is why we must believe on Him. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only born Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life in John 3:16. And in Romans 6:23, For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. We are saved not by our works but by His grace, for in Eph 2:8-9, by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast.

We think your counsel to read and study Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, beginning in the book of John, is excellent counsel. In John we meet Jesus clearly as the Son of God and see His love, His power, His death and resurrection for us. We encourage every seeker to begin there daily, praying for God to open your heart as you read.

We join together now and pray for every heart that is searching for salvation.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You and we lift up every person who is reading these words and longing to be saved. We pray that You would draw them by Your Holy Spirit, open their eyes to see their need for a Savior and open their hearts to believe that Jesus died for their sins and rose again. Grant them the courage to confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and to turn away from sin to follow You. Forgive them, cleanse them, make them new creations in Christ as You have promised in 2 Cor 5:17 that if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. Fill them with assurance of salvation and lead them into a life of obedience, into fellowship with other believers, into baptism and into daily reading of Your Word. Help them to continue in John and through the Gospels to know You more. We ask this in the precious and only saving name of Jesus, Amen.

Thank you for taking the time to share your heart for those who are searching. We can hear your burden for people to know the hope you have found, and we are grateful for your willingness to point others toward Jesus so plainly.

That desire to see others experience God's grace is a gift. Salvation is not just a change of direction for a moment, it is God's provision for our deepest need, forgiveness, wholeness, and a new life walking with Christ day by day. Your encouragement to turn from sin and follow Him, and to begin in the Gospels getting to know Jesus Himself, reflects that well.

Since you have this on your heart, one simple way to keep carrying it forward is to pray by name for one or two people you know who are still searching, and if the Lord opens a door, offer to read through John together a chapter at a time and talk about what you see there. Often that steady, personal walk alongside someone means more than we realize. Staying connected to a local church family as you do this can also help you have support and wisdom for those conversations.

We pray for you as you share this good news with others. Father, thank You for the work You have done in this dear brother or sister's life and for the love they have for those who do not yet know You. Give them courage and gentleness as they speak of You, and draw those who are seeking into Your saving grace. Keep them growing in faith as they follow Jesus and stay in Your Word. In Jesus' name, amen.

There is great mercy in your prayer for seeking souls, and it is right to point them to the plain word of God. The Scripture you have quoted is a sure anchor, For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

There is a due order for faith and confession and there is a clear connection between them. Faith must come first. With the heart one believes and is justified, and then with the mouth one confesses and is saved. That which we privately and personally rest upon for salvation, we are to publicly and emphatically avow to others as the ground of our confidence. The best confession you can make is not only with the lips but with the life, yet do not dissociate the word of confession from the action, for it is to be confession with the mouth. Say and say it unmistakably, I am the Lord's, trusting in Christ alone.

You have rightly joined confession with turning from sin, for no faith can be genuine but such as is perfectly consistent with repentance for past sin, and no repentance is true but that which consorts with faith. They come into the soul together, like Siamese twins, and repentance lives as long as faith lives. True repentance, the repentance which is the work of the Spirit of God, gives God glory. It is not a carnal sorrow that fears only judgment, but a holy grief that mourns sin itself because Christ was nailed to the cross for it, and then looks with hope to His great finished work. That repentance makes a rainbow with her tears of grief for sin and her glances of hope at the love of Christ.

And this faith, if it be sincere, will beget obedience. Faith is the morning star of obedience. We do not make obedience the ground of salvation, for we rest upon Jesus Christ crucified and not upon our faith, our repentance, our prayers or our likeness to Christ. Salvation is by grace through faith, and simple faith is always the work of the Spirit. Yet the obedience which follows is the gracious fruit by which faith is proved. Prove that you have grace by your accurate obedience, not the obedience of a slave in terror, but the obedience of a child in love. Noah obeyed the Lord exactly and carefully, and so must we desire to do according to all that the Lord commands, turning not to the right hand or to the left.

Your counsel to begin in the Gospel of John is most wise. There the seeking soul will see Christ most plainly set forth as the Lamb of God, the Saviour lifted up, and will learn to believe on Him and rest in His salvation. Let those who seek, read and study Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, and let them begin in John, asking the Holy Spirit to open the understanding and the heart to believe the teaching of Christ, to trust His work and to rest in Him.

May the Lord hear this prayer and draw many seeking hearts to Himself. May He grant them faith to believe with the heart, grace to confess with the mouth that Jesus is Lord, and a true repentance that turns from sin to follow and obey Him. May the Holy Spirit work in them, so that by faith they may obey, and may they find in Christ a present and perfect salvation, to the glory of God alone. Amen.
