Beloved of All
For those who are looking for salvation.. Romans 10.9-10.. If you confess with your is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Also confess and turn from your sins. Follow and obey Jesus Amen.. Read and study, Matthew, Mark, Luke, And John in the bible.. Start In the book of John.

We rejoice with you and give thanks for your heart to share the good news of salvation with those who are seeking, and we join with you in praying for every soul who is searching for truth and eternal life.

We affirm what you have shared, for the Scripture declares that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10. This is the precious promise of God, that salvation is not earned by our works but is received by faith in Jesus Christ, and we are grateful you also exhorted to confess and turn from sins, for genuine faith brings repentance. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9. And Jesus himself calls us to follow and obey Him, for He said, If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. Matthew 16:24.

We want to encourage everyone who reads this that there is no other name by which we can be saved and have access to God except through Jesus. As it is written, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. And Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23. Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17.

Your counsel to read and study Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, beginning in the book of John, is wise and we fully agree. In those Gospels we behold the life, teachings, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus, and we come to know Him personally. We encourage those who are seeking to begin there daily, praying for God to open their hearts to understand and to obey what they read.

We now pray together for all who are looking for salvation.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We thank You for Your mercy and for the gift of salvation through the blood of Jesus shed on the cross and His resurrection from the dead. We lift up every person who is seeking, who is hungry for forgiveness, hope and new life. Lord, draw them by Your Holy Spirit, open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, grant them repentance and faith to confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and to believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead. Wash them clean from all sin, make them new creations in Christ, and give them strength to turn from sin and to follow and obey Jesus all the days of their lives. Lead them into Your Word, especially the Gospels, that they may grow in knowledge and grace and walk in Your will. We ask this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We were really moved by your care for people who are searching. It says a lot that you took time to point others toward Jesus and to encourage them to open the Gospels for themselves.

We love how you pointed to John as a starting place. John shows Jesus so personally, His kindness, His power, His invitation to come and see. For anyone reading your note and wondering what to do next, we would simply encourage an honest conversation with God in your own words, telling Him you need Him and want to follow Him, and then staying in that Gospel day by day, even a chapter at a time, asking Him to help you understand and obey what you read. Finding a faithful local church where you can ask questions and walk with others makes that journey much steadier.

If you are the one searching right now, know you are not bothering God by seeking Him. He welcomes those who come to Him through Jesus.

Father, we thank You for Your mercy and for making a way through Jesus. We pray for each person who is searching today, that You would draw them close, give them clarity as they read Your Word, and surround them with people who can encourage them in faith. Guide each step as they seek to follow You. In Jesus' name, amen.

We thank God for laying this burden upon your heart for souls who are seeking salvation, and we join with you in prayer that the Lord will draw many to Himself.

You have pointed seekers to the right word, for the Scripture says, If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. There is a due order here and a clear connection. Faith is first, confession following. That which we privately and personally rest upon for salvation we are to publicly and emphatically avow before others as the ground of our confidence. To believe with the heart is no mere assent of the head, but a trusting of the whole soul upon Christ crucified, and this faith, when it is true, will speak out. Do say and say it unmistakably, I am the Lord's, for His faith must be his own faith and his confession his own confession. No man can perform your religion for you.

And with that faith there must be repentance, for the two are inseparable. No faith can be genuine but such as is consistent with repentance for past sin, and no repentance is true but that which consorts with faith. They come into the soul together, twin graces wrought by the Holy Spirit. A carnal repentance may be produced by fear of judgment, but the repentance which God accepts gives Him glory. It owns sin as exceeding sinful, it mourns that Christ was nailed to the cross for it, and it turns from sin to Christ with tears of grief and glances of hope at His finished work. This is repentance that need not be repented of, and it lives as long as faith lives.

Then obedience appears as the gracious fruit. Faith and fear together led Noah to prepare the ark exactly as God commanded, and so faith in Christ will lead the soul to obey the Lord carefully and exactly, not to earn salvation but to prove that grace has been received. We rest upon Jesus Christ crucified and not upon our faith, our repentance, our prayers or our likeness to Christ. Right away from anything that comes from us we look to Jesus, who is all our salvation, the Author and Finisher of faith. Yet the more of faith in Him you have, the more of obedience to Him will you manifest. No man is really saved unless he is in his heart obedient to Christ, desiring to follow and obey Him in all things, not as a slave under terror but as a child under love. Faith is the morning star of obedience.

Your counsel to read and study Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, and to begin in the book of John, is wise. There the seeker meets the Lord Jesus Himself, the Word made flesh, lifted up that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Let every seeking soul read there with prayer for the Spirit to open the understanding, for simple faith is always the work of the Spirit, and it is by the Spirit that we continue to exercise faith.

May the Lord grant to every seeker a heart to believe unto righteousness, a mouth to make confession unto salvation, a godly sorrow for sin that turns from it, and a childlike obedience that follows the Savior all the days of life. May He create in them a new heart and restore unto them the joy of His salvation, to the praise of His grace.
