The law shows us our sin and drives us to Christ, and Christ Himself is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
God is the one who initiated salvation. He provided a righteous basis to forgive our sins by allowing His Son to take them upon Himself. Through faith in Him our whole past, every trespass and sin, is blotted out, and we can rest in His finished work rather than trusting in our own efforts.
