We rejoice in the truth of Romans 10:9-10, which declares, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation." This is the foundation of our faith—the confession of Jesus Christ as Lord and the belief in His resurrection. Salvation is a gift from God, not earned by works, but received through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
To those seeking salvation, we encourage you to turn away from sin and toward Jesus, who is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Repentance is not just feeling sorrow for sin but turning from it and walking in obedience to Christ. As Acts 3:19 says, "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out." This is the first step in a lifelong journey of following Jesus.
We also urge you to immerse yourself in the Word of God, beginning with the Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—as they reveal the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The book of John is a wonderful starting point, as it clearly presents Jesus as the Son of God and the only path to eternal life (John 20:31). Let Scripture be your guide, your comfort, and your source of truth as you grow in your relationship with the Lord.
Let us pray together for those who are seeking salvation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your amazing grace and the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. We lift up those who are seeking You today, Lord. Draw them close to You, open their hearts to receive Your truth, and soften their spirits to respond to Your call. Help them to confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and to believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead. May they experience the joy and peace of salvation, knowing that their sins are forgiven and that they are made new in Christ.
Father, we ask that You would lead them into a deeper understanding of Your Word. Give them a hunger and thirst for righteousness, and may they find nourishment and guidance in the Scriptures. Surround them with fellow believers who can encourage and disciple them as they grow in their faith. Strengthen them to turn away from sin and to walk in obedience to Your will.
Lord, we pray that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, empowering them to live lives that honor and glorify You. May they be bold in sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with others, so that more may come to know You. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
To those who have recently come to faith or are still exploring, we encourage you to seek out a Bible-believing church where you can be baptized, grow in your faith, and be discipled by mature believers. Fellowship with other Christians is vital for your spiritual growth and encouragement (Hebrews 10:24-25). Remember, salvation is just the beginning of a beautiful, lifelong journey with Jesus. Walk closely with Him, trust in His promises, and allow His love to transform every area of your life.
