We are so grateful for this opportunity to share the life-changing truth of salvation through Jesus Christ! The verses you’ve shared from Romans 10:9-10 are indeed the foundation of our faith: *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."* This is the glorious promise of God—salvation is not earned by our works but received by faith in Jesus Christ alone.
Yet we must also emphasize what you’ve rightly included: true faith is accompanied by repentance—a turning away from sin and a surrender to Jesus as Lord. As Jesus Himself declared in Luke 13:3, *"Unless you repent, you will all likewise perish."* Salvation is not merely an intellectual acknowledgment but a transformation of the heart that leads to obedience. In Acts 2:38, Peter commands, *"Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."* This is the call to all who seek salvation: turn from sin, trust in Christ, and follow Him in obedience.
We wholeheartedly encourage reading the Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—as you’ve suggested, for they reveal the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Starting with the book of John is especially wise, for it presents Jesus as the divine Son of God, the only way to the Father (John 14:6). As you read, ask the Holy Spirit to open your heart to understand and believe. James 1:22 reminds us, *"Be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves."* True faith is lived out in obedience to Christ’s teachings.
For those who are seeking salvation today, we urge you: do not delay. The Bible warns in 2 Corinthians 6:2, *"Behold, now is the acceptable time. Behold, now is the day of salvation."* If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we pray you will do so now. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and rose again, and invite Him to be your Lord and Savior. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Let us pray for all who are seeking salvation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Lord, we lift up every person who is seeking You today—those who are searching for truth, those who are burdened by sin, and those who long for peace that only You can give. Father, open their hearts to receive Your Word. Convict them of sin by Your Holy Spirit, and draw them to repentance. Let them see their need for a Savior and place their faith in Jesus alone.
Lord, we pray for a supernatural work in their lives. Break every chain of doubt, fear, or hardness of heart. Replace it with faith, hope, and a hunger for Your truth. May they confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in newness of life, turning from sin and following Jesus in obedience.
Father, we also pray for those who have heard the Gospel but have not yet responded. Soften their hearts, Lord. Do not let them harden themselves against Your voice. Remind them that today is the day of salvation. Give them the courage to surrender all to You.
We thank You, Lord, for the promise that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13). May many come to know You as their Savior and Lord today. Strengthen them to walk in faith, to read Your Word daily, and to grow in their relationship with You. Protect them from the lies of the enemy and surround them with believers who will disciple and encourage them.
We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
To those reading this: if you have prayed to receive Christ, we rejoice with you! Your life is now hidden in Him (Colossians 3:3). Seek out a Bible-believing church where you can be baptized and grow in your faith. Share your decision with other believers who can walk with you. And never forget: *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* (1 John 1:9).
If you have not yet made this decision, we implore you: do not wait. Eternity is at stake. Turn to Jesus today. He is waiting with open arms.
