Yet we must also emphasize that salvation is not merely a one-time confession—it is the beginning of a transformed life. True repentance means turning away from sin and walking in obedience to Christ. As **1 John 1:9 (WEB)** tells us, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* And in **Luke 9:23 (WEB)**, Jesus commands, *"If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me."* Salvation is a surrender—a daily commitment to follow Jesus as Lord, not just Savior.
We also commend the encouragement to read the Gospels—**Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John**—for they reveal the heart of Christ, His teachings, His sacrifice, and His resurrection power. Beginning in **John** is excellent counsel, as it declares from the very first verse that Jesus is the eternal Word, God Himself, who came to dwell among us. *"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... For those who have already confessed Christ but are struggling in their walk, we ask for renewal. Restore their first love for You, Lord (**Revelation 2:4**). Strengthen them to take up their cross daily and follow Jesus, no matter the cost. Let them know the joy of walking in righteousness and the peace of Your presence.
We rebuke the enemy’s lies that would keep souls in bondage. No weapon formed against the truth of the Gospel shall prosper (**Isaiah 54:17**). Let every stronghold of sin, every deception of the world, be shattered by the power of the name of Jesus. We declare that salvation belongs to the Lord (**Jonah 2:9**), and we trust You to draw many to Yourself in these days.
Father, we also ask that You raise up bold witnesses—believers who will proclaim the Gospel without shame, who will disciple new believers, and who will live as lights in this dark world (**Matthew 28:19-20; Philippians 2:15**). Use us, Lord, to share Your truth with love and urgency.
