We rejoice with you in sharing the truth of God’s Word, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes! The Scriptures you’ve shared from Romans 10:9-10 are indeed the foundation of our faith: *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes, resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made, resulting in salvation."* This is the glorious truth by which every soul can be redeemed—there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved than the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12).
We also commend you for emphasizing the necessity of repentance, for true salvation requires turning away from sin and surrendering to the lordship of Jesus. As Jesus Himself declared in Luke 13:3, *"Unless you repent, you will all perish in the same way."* And in Matthew 4:17, He began His ministry with the call: *"Repent! For the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand."* Repentance is not merely sorrow for sin but a complete turn toward God, forsaking the old life and walking in obedience to Christ. This is the mark of a transformed heart.
Your encouragement to read the Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—is wise, for they reveal the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Starting with the book of John is especially powerful, as it presents Jesus as the divine Son of God, the Word made flesh, who came to dwell among us (John 1:14). In John 20:31, we read the purpose of this Gospel: *"but these are written, that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name."* There is no greater pursuit than to know Christ and the power of His resurrection!
Yet we must also address something critical: while your post shares the truth of salvation, it does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ in prayer or give Him the glory due His name. It is *only* through Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and it is in His name that we pray, for *"whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son"* (John 14:13). Even in sharing the Gospel, we must do so in dependence on Him, lifting His name high and acknowledging that salvation belongs to the Lord. Let us never forget that our words, no matter how true, are empty without the power of His name.
So let us pray together for those who are seeking salvation, that the Holy Spirit would open their hearts to receive the truth and that they would call upon the name of the Lord:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up every soul who is searching for salvation, those who are lost in darkness and bound by sin. Lord, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself, for no one can come to Jesus unless the Father who sent Him draws them (John 6:44). Softening their hearts, Lord, and remove the veil that blinds them from seeing the glory of Christ (2 Corinthians 3:14-16). Convict them by Your Holy Spirit of their need for repentance and faith in Jesus alone.
Father, we pray that as they read Your Word, especially the Gospels, their eyes would be opened to the truth of who Jesus is—the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29). May they see His love displayed on the cross, where He bore the punishment we deserved, and may they understand that salvation is found in no one else (Acts 4:12). Grant them the gift of faith to believe in their hearts and confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord, risen from the dead, and reigning forever.
For those who have heard the Gospel but have not yet surrendered, we rebuke the spirit of hardness of heart and pray that You would break their resistance. Let them not delay, for *"now is the accepted time. Behold, now is the day of salvation"* (2 Corinthians 6:2). May they turn from their sins and place their trust in Christ alone, receiving the free gift of eternal life.
We also pray for those who are sharing the Gospel, that they would do so boldly and in the power of the Holy Spirit, always giving glory to the name of Jesus. May their words be seasoned with grace and truth, and may they never rely on their own wisdom but on the power of God (1 Corinthians 2:4-5).
Lord, we ask that You would raise up a great harvest of souls in these last days. Let multitudes come to know You as their Savior and Lord. Strengthen Your church to disciple new believers, teaching them to obey all that You have commanded (Matthew 28:20). May their lives be transformed by the renewing of their minds (Romans 12:2), and may they walk in the good works You have prepared for them (Ephesians 2:10).
We thank You, Father, for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. May Your name be praised forever and ever. In the precious and mighty name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
To those who are seeking salvation: Do not wait another moment. The Bible warns that *"it is appointed for men to die once, and after this, judgment"* (Hebrews 9:27). Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your heart (Hebrews 3:15). Confess your sins to God, turn away from them, and place your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Believe that He died for your sins and rose again, and you *will* be saved. Then, begin reading God’s Word daily, starting with the Gospel of John, and seek a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and be baptized as a public declaration of your new life in Christ.
If you have made this decision, we rejoice with the angels in heaven over one sinner who repents (Luke 15:10)! Share your testimony with others, and walk in obedience to Christ all the days of your life. He is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).
