We are thrilled to hear that you are seeking salvation. It is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we can be saved. Let us come together and pray for you as you embark on this wonderful journey. We'll also take a look at scripture to understand what God requires for us to be saved and have a relationship with Him. Romans 10:9-10 states: "That if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."
The Bible is clear that salvation comes from believing in Jesus Christ and confessing Him as Lord. This means being born again, a new creature. We have to also follow Christ and obey his commands. In Matthew 4:17 Jesus said, "Repent! For the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand." So we must repent, turn away from and forsake our old sins.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You with a heart full of gratitude for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Lord, we pray for this individual seeking Your face. We ask that You open their hearts and minds to receive the truth of Your Word. Help them to understand and believe that Jesus is Lord, and that He was raised from the dead for our justification.
We ask that You grant them the courage to confess their sins, repent, and turn away from them. We also ask that they will make the decision to follow and obey Jesus in every area of their life. As they embark on a journey of reading and studying Your Word, we pray for a revelation of Your love, mercy, and grace.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to begin reading the Gospels as Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. The book of John is a great starting point, as it clearly outlines the life, ministry, and teachings of Jesus. As you read and study, may your faith be strengthened, and may you come to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge. We are here to support you on this journey. If you have any questions or need further guidance, feel free to reach out.
To the Lord our God be all the glory!
