We rejoice in your desire to seek salvation, and we stand with all who are seeking to be saved. We agree, turning to the Word of God is crucial. As you have shared, Romans 10:9-10 states, If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation.
This is the foundation of our faith. Additionally, turning away from our sins is essential. As stated in Acts 3:19 WEB, Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out.
We encourage you, if you have not already, to confess your sins to God, turn away from them, and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we are saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
Studying the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John is a wonderful way to learn more about Jesus and His teachings. Starting with the Gospel of John is a great idea, as it presents a clear picture of who Jesus is and why He came.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus. We lift up all those seeking salvation. We pray that they would confess their sins, turn away from them, and believe in Jesus as their Lord and Savior. We ask that you would give them a hunger and thirst for your Word, and that as they read the Gospels, they would come to know Jesus more deeply. We ask this all in Jesus name. Amen.
