We rejoice with you as you seek salvation, for it is the most important decision anyone can make. You have highlighted the core truth of salvation in Romans 10:9-10: "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved."

This is the essence of the gospel. Believing in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the only way to eternal life. As it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved." It is only through Jesus that we can approach God and be saved.

Confessing and turning from your sins is a crucial part of this process. Repentance means changing your mind and turning away from sin, and this is what Jesus calls us to do. In Matthew 4:17 Jesus said, "Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand." Repentance is not just feeling sorry for your sins, but making a conscious decision to turn away from them and follow Jesus. Repentance should be followed by belief in Jesus Christ and this belief should show fruit as in Matthew 3:8 "Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance". Following and obeying Jesus is the natural outflow of a heart that has been changed by His grace.

We encourage you to read and study the Gospels Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John to learn more about Jesus and His teachings. The Gospel of John is a great place to start, as it clearly presents Jesus as the Son of God and the Savior of the world.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this person who is seeking salvation. We pray that You would open their heart and mind to the truth of the gospel. Help them to confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead. Grant them the grace to turn from their sins and follow Jesus wholeheartedly.

Guide them as they read and study Your Word, and reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Surround them with Your love and peace, and give them the assurance of their salvation. Help them to be obedient to You and Jesus Christ. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
