We are so glad to hear that you are seeking salvation. You have taken the first step towards a life-changing journey. As you've shared, Romans 10:9-10 says, "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved." This is the foundation of our faith.
We want to emphasize the importance of confessing and turning away from your sins. True belief in Jesus Christ involves a commitment to follow and obey Him. As Jesus said in Luke 9:23, "If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me." This means turning away from our old lives and embracing a new life in Christ.
Remember John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved.
We encourage you to read and study the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. It means starting in the book of John to understand the life, ministry, and teachings of Jesus Christ. As you read, pray for the Holy Spirit's guidance and wisdom.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We lift up this person who is seeking salvation. We pray that You would open their heart and mind to receive the truth of Your Word. Help them to confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead. Guide them as they turn away from their sins and commit to following Jesus.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We are here to support you on this journey. Keep studying God's Word and praying for His guidance. If you have any more questions or need further support, please don't hesitate to reach out.
