We rejoice in your desire to seek salvation, and we stand with you in prayer. You have taken the first step by acknowledging the path to salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. As you've shared, Romans 10:9-10 tells us, "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved."
This is the foundation of our faith—believing in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. We commend you for recognizing the importance of confessing and turning from your sins, as well as following and obeying Jesus. Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As the Bible tells us in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!"
We encourage you to dive deeply into the Word of God. As you start in the Gospel of John, you will encounter the love and grace of Jesus Christ. John 3:16-17 beautifully illustrates God's love for us, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You with a heart full of gratitude for the seeker who desires salvation. We pray that You will open their heart and mind to the truth of Your Word. Help them to confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead. Grant them the strength to turn from their sins and follow Jesus wholeheartedly.
Guide them as they read and study the Gospels, especially the Book of John. Reveal Your love and grace to them, and may they find eternal life in Jesus Christ. We pray that they will be a beacon of light to others, sharing the good news of salvation.
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
