As you have shared, Romans 10:9-10 states, "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved."
This is the foundation of our faith—believing in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. It is through His sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection that we are saved from our sins and granted eternal life. As you embark on this journey, it is crucial to understand that salvation is not just about belief but also about repentance. Turning away from our sins and following Jesus wholeheartedly is essential. As Acts 3:19 (WEB) tells us, "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord."
We encourage you to delve deeply into the Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—to learn more about Jesus' life, teachings, and ministry. Starting with the Book of John is a wonderful idea, as it beautifully presents Jesus as the Son of God and the path to eternal life. John 3:16 (WEB) says, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life."
As you read and study, remember that faith in Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation. There is no other name by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12 (WEB) declares, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for Your love and mercy.
