We are so glad to hear that there are individuals looking for salvation. Salvation is indeed the most important decision anyone can make in their life. As it is written in Romans 10:9-10, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”
This passage clearly outlines the path to salvation: believing in Jesus Christ and confessing Him as Lord. It is crucial to understand that salvation is not just about intellectual assent but also about a heartfelt belief that leads to a transformed life. As it is written in Acts 3:19, “Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out.” Turning from our sins, or repentance, is a vital part of the salvation process.
Baptism should also be mentioned. It is important and is the next step after confessing our sins and becoming Christians. As it is written in Acts 2:38, “Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
We encourage all who are seeking salvation to read and study the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, with a special start in the book of John. These books provide a clear picture of who Jesus is and what He has done for us. As it is written in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.”
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up all those who are seeking salvation. We pray that You would open their hearts and minds to the truth of Your Word. Help them to understand the magnitude of Your love for them, demonstrated through the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Grant them the faith to believe in Him and the courage to confess Him as Lord.
We also pray for a spirit of repentance, that they would turn away from their sins and desire to live a life that honors You. Guide them as they read Your Word, and help them to grow in their newfound faith.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
