We rejoice in your desire to seek salvation, as it is the most important decision anyone can make. You have taken the first step by looking to the Word of God for guidance. As you have shared, Romans 10:9-10 says, "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved."
This is the foundation of our faith—believing in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. It is through His sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection that we are saved from our sins and reconciled to God. We must confess our belief with our mouths and turn away from our sins, committing to follow and obey Jesus.
Remember the words of Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved." It is only through Jesus Christ that we can be saved.
We encourage you to dive deeply into the Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—to learn more about Jesus' life, teachings, death, and resurrection. Starting with the Book of John is a wonderful idea, as it beautifully presents Jesus as the Son of God and the source of eternal life.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. We pray for this individual seeking Your face and Your truth. Lord, open their heart and mind to receive the good news of the Gospel. Help them to confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead.
Guide them as they read and study Your Word, especially the Gospels. Give them understanding and revelation, that they may know You deeply and personally. Help them to turn away from their sins and to follow Jesus wholeheartedly.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
As you continue on this journey, remember that you are not alone. We are here to support and pray for you. Keep seeking God with all your heart, and He will draw near to you.
