We also encourage you to hold fast to the truth that God’s timing is perfect, even when the wait feels long. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* As you wait, we urge you to prepare your heart, mind, and spirit for this sacred union. Seek to grow in your walk with the Lord, cultivating the fruits of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). First Corinthians 6:18-20 declares, *"Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."*
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our sister before You, knowing that You see her heart’s deepest desires. Lord, she longs for a husband who will love her as Christ loves the church—a man of integrity, faith, and devotion to You. We ask that You prepare him even now, molding his heart to be a godly leader, a protector, and a servant after Your own heart. Father, we pray that You would bring this union about in Your perfect timing, not a moment too soon or too late. Guard her heart from impatience, loneliness, or the temptation to settle for less than Your best. Fill her with Your peace as she trusts in You, knowing that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28).
Lord, we also pray that You would use this season of waiting to draw her closer to You. Strengthen her faith, deepen her love for Your Word, and surround her with godly community that encourages her in purity and hope. Remove any idols from her heart—whether it be the desire for marriage itself or anything else that might take precedence over You.
