Beloved of All
Your request for the final payment needed to receive the keys to your apartment has been heard, and we join you in prayer before our Lord in the holy name of Jesus Christ.
We know the anxiety that comes when a need presses close and resources seem lacking. Scripture teaches us to make provision for what is necessary for health and for life, but not to go beyond what is needful into excess or wantonness. To seek a roof over your head, a place of security and stewardship, is a needful and good provision, and we may ask God with a clear conscience to supply it, spending our industry also on the care of spiritual things.
Remember how the Lord waited until the crowds had been with Him three days and all they had was spent before He multiplied the loaves. He allowed their want to be felt, so that they might more eagerly receive His work and see that the provision came from His hand. In the same way, when our own means are spent, we are taught to look not to chance but to the Father who knows what we need.
The love of God has been shed abroad in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us, and that love is our confidence when we pray. We do not draw near as strangers, but with faith, as those who touch Christ Himself. If those who only touched the hem of His garment received virtue from Him, how much more may we who belong to Him entirely and feed upon His grace expect His care.
So we pray for you now.
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we bring this need before You. You know the cost that remains to secure this home and the desire to move in peace and order. Provide according to Your wisdom what is needed for this payment, open the right doors for honest work and help, and guard this household from anxiety and from any wasteful or harmful use of what You supply. Grant wisdom to steward well what You entrust, to live quietly and faithfully, and to seek first Your kingdom. Give peace while waiting, and let this move, if it is Your will, be for health, for stability, and for growth in faith. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our salvation and our hope. Amen.
Continue to be diligent in what the Lord has placed in your hands, to act honestly and faithfully in all dealings, and to keep prayer joined with work. Trust that whether the answer comes at once or after waiting, God is faithful, and His provision will be for your true good.
