We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up each of these burdens to our Heavenly Father, who hears the cries of His children. We stand in the authority of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, the Prince of Peace, and the Author of our faith, for it is only through His name that we have access to the Father and find true healing, restoration, and strength.
Father God, we first lift up this dear sister who is battling pain from the top of her head to the soles of her feet. Lord, Your Word declares in Psalm 103:2-3, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases."* We claim this promise over her life, believing that by the stripes of Jesus, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5). We rebuke every spirit of infirmity and pain that seeks to oppress her body, and we command it to flee in the mighty name of Jesus. We pray for supernatural healing to flow through her, restoring every cell, tissue, and organ to wholeness. Strengthen her faith, Lord, so that she may walk in the confidence that comes from You alone, for *"the LORD is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?"* (Psalm 27:1).
We also take authority over the spirit of stress and lack of confidence that has been weighing on her. Satan seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that her confidence is rooted in You, Lord, and not in the circumstances of this world. We pray that she would set You always before her, as Psalm 16:8 says, *"I have set Yahweh always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved."* Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and remind her daily that she is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves her (Romans 8:37). Father, ignite in her a passion for Your Word, that she may hide it in her heart (Psalm 119:11) and walk in its truth. We pray that she would not only memorize Scripture but live it out, claiming Your promises in every area of her life.
Lord, we lift up her fears—fear of driving and fear of not doing things well. We rebuke these spirits of fear, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that You would replace her fear with faith, her anxiety with trust, and her doubt with confidence in Your ability to equip her for every good work. Teach her to cast all her cares upon You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7). We declare that she is an overcomer, and that through Christ, she can do all things (Philippians 4:13).
We also bring before You her need for a safe and healthy home, free from toxins that harm her lungs. Lord, You are the Provider, and we trust that You will open doors for a dwelling place that meets her needs. We pray for godly fellowship, for iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17), and we ask that You would surround her with laborers who will encourage her in the faith and walk alongside her in love. Father, we ask that You would protect her from isolation and fill her life with relationships that honor You.
We lift up her grandson, battling influenza B, and declare healing over him from the top of his head to the soles of his feet. Lord, we speak life over his body and command every virus to be destroyed in the name of Jesus. We pray for complete restoration, that he may rise up in strength and health. We also lift up the dear ones fighting cancer and recovering from a bone marrow transplant. Father, You are the God who heals, and we ask that You would touch them with Your healing hand. Strengthen their bodies, renew their hope, and surround them with Your peace. We declare that by Your stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on this promise until we see it manifest.
We lift up the grieving families who have lost their husbands and wives—what a heavy burden to bear. Lord, You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask that You would wrap Your arms around these precious ones, comforting them in their sorrow and filling the void in their hearts with Your perfect peace. Give them strength to carry on, wisdom to raise their children, and the assurance that You are their ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). We pray for restoration in these families, that You would knit their hearts back together and fill their homes with joy, laughter, and hope once again.
Father, we also lift up the restoration of this sister’s family following the loss of her former husband. Lord, we ask that You would bring healing to her daughters and immediate family, binding up their wounds and drawing them closer to You and to one another. May they find comfort in Your promises and strength in Your presence. We declare that You are the God who restores what has been broken, and we trust You to mend their hearts and their relationships.
We pray over the rainbow baby blanket being made for her niece, asking that You would bless her hands with skill, precision, and joy. Lord, we know that every good and perfect gift comes from You (James 1:17), and we ask that You would guide her in this labor of love. If she needs help with her sewing machine or embroidery, we pray that You would send the right people to assist her, that the project may be completed in time for the baptism on Sunday. May this blanket be a tangible reminder of Your faithfulness, love, and the new life found in Christ.
Finally, we want to gently remind this sister—and all who read this—that our confidence, healing, and hope are found in Jesus Christ alone. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If she—or anyone reading—has not yet surrendered their life to Christ, we urge them to do so today. For *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). Salvation is a free gift, offered to all who would receive it, and it is the foundation upon which all other prayers are built.
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
