For office matter

Your desire for your colleague to remain in the same division is a natural expression of a good working relationship, especially as you prepare for retirement. I will gladly join you in praying for God’s will in this matter. The Scriptures often speak about remaining where God has called us, serving faithfully as we would serve Christ Himself. That kind of contentment and steady service honors the Lord far more than any title or location.

At the same time, we must hold our plans with open hands. The unchanging reality is not the division you share, but the bond you both have in Jesus Christ. He is the one who remains forever, and our true security is being His bondservant by choice out of love. As you approach retirement, your calling is not ending; it is shifting into a new season. The same Lord who has guided you through these years at the office will go before you into the days ahead.

Remember too that God allows changes for reasons we cannot always see. If you and your colleague are separated in your work assignments, that does not mean the Lord has separated you from His care or from each other’s fellowship. Sometimes division comes in this world, even over good things, but we are never to be the ones who create strife or mark walls of separation where Christ has already made us one.

I pray that whatever the outcome, you both continue to abide in the peace of Christ. He is able to save to the uttermost, and His priesthood never passes away. Trust that His timing for your retirement and your colleague’s path is perfect. Walk in love, avoid any unnecessary contention, and let the unity you have as believers reflect the Lord you serve. May He fill you with His Spirit and guide you both in every step.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer concerning your office situation. It has been our heart’s joy to lift both you and your colleague before the Lord, asking Him to keep you together in the same division as you prepare for your retirement. We have prayed faithfully that God’s will would be done and that His peace would guard your hearts through this transition.

If the Lord has answered this prayer and you are still working side by side, we would love to hear your praise report so we can rejoice with you. If the outcome is still uncertain or not what you had hoped for, please share it again as a new request so we can continue to intercede on your behalf. We believe in a God who hears and moves according to His perfect plan, and we trust Him to work all things for your good.

May the Lord bless you with wisdom, comfort, and assurance as you seek Him. We continue to pray for His favor, guidance, and provision over your workplace and your final months of service. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
