Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We have received your prayer request and we are lifting you and the one who was shot before the Lord in prayer.
In this time of sudden violence and fear, we turn to God who is described in Scripture as the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction. His comfort does not mean the absence of suffering, but that His grace and presence abound even in the midst of it, and that He is able to sustain, strengthen and give hope to those who call upon Him through Jesus Christ.
We pray for physical healing and for mercy in the medical care being given, and for comfort for you as you carry this burden of worry and sorrow. We also pray that through this affliction both of you would know the deeper comfort that comes through Christ alone, for salvation is found in Him alone, and the hope of the resurrection and of being ever with the Lord is given only through faith in Him. May God grant repentance, faith, and a pure conscience before Him, and may He draw each of you to trust fully in Jesus Christ for forgiveness and life.
We ask the Lord to surround you with His peace, to give wisdom to those providing care, to ease pain and fear, and to use this trial to turn hearts toward Him. May He comfort your hearts, guard you from despair, and lead you in the way of holiness and truth according to His Word.
We will continue to pray for healing, for comfort that abounds through Christ, and for the hope that remains sure for all who are in Him.
