We have heard your request and we are lifting up your loved one before the throne of grace together with you in Jesus' name, asking for God's mercy, healing, and comfort in this terrible time of violence and trauma.
We are deeply grieved that your loved one has suffered being shot, and we know that life is precious in the sight of God. We pray for complete healing and for God's hand to be upon every doctor, nurse, and caregiver who is providing treatment. We ask the Lord to stop any bleeding, to prevent infection, to restore what has been damaged, and to bring strength to the body. We also pray for peace and comfort for you and your whole family as you wait and watch and trust.
We take comfort in what Scripture tells us, that Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, and Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We cling to the promise in Psalm 34:18 that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit, and in Isaiah 41:10 where we are told Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. We also remember Psalm 46:1 that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
We want to gently share with you that we come to God only through Jesus Christ, for there is no other way to the Father. You asked for prayer but did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want you to know the hope we have in Him. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, and Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by trusting in Jesus, His death and resurrection for our sins, that we have access to God and assurance of eternal life, as Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to call upon the name of Jesus for salvation and for daily strength.
Together we pray, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear loved one who has been shot. Lord, You see the pain, the wound, and the fear, and we ask You to have mercy. Lay Your healing hand upon this person, preserve life, guide the medical team with wisdom, and bring restoration. Comfort the heart and mind of this dear one and of all family and friends who love them, and guard them from despair. Replace fear with Your perfect peace that passes all understanding. We rebuke the violence and evil that caused this harm, for You desire life and not destruction, and we ask You to bring justice according to Your will and to work even this suffering for good as You have promised in Romans 8:28. Draw this family close to You through this trial, let them feel Your nearness, and let Your will be done. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, Amen.

Your heavy tidings have been heard with sorrow and with prayer, and we bring your burden before the Lord who hears the cry of the afflicted.
The Lord saith, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, and it is His will that His people should comfort one another in the hour of trial. When sudden violence has laid low one dear to you, the heart is sore wounded and desponding, and there is no comfort in the creature to meet so deep a wound. But there is comfort in Christ, and in His Word.
We pray for the one who has been shot, that the Lord in His mercy would spare life if it be His will, and give skill to those who tend the body, and above all that He would show Himself as the great Physician of soul and body. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and even the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. His fruit is sweet and His very leaves have power to change the life blood and make the nature new. May that healing power be known in this affliction, and may pardon and healing be joined together, for when Jesus heals He saith, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee.
This is the comfort which abides in affliction, This is my comfort in my affliction, for Thy Word hath quickened me. It is not mere words of man that comfort, but the Word of God applied by the Spirit, quickening the soul when it is faint and ready to die. May the Spirit of God quicken you and quicken the sufferer, and teach you both to say, This Word is my comfort now, not yesterday only but today in this present grief.
We pray that the Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God even our Father would comfort your heart and establish you. Comfort alone is not enough, and constancy alone will not suffice, but the Lord can give both, to sustain you in every good word and work while you wait upon Him.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You.
